Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

As I told you on Saturday LL, :thumbsup2 to thinking about going back to school. Especially if you're unhappy with your current job, it's good to go back to school now before you have kids and all.

Julez-I totally have seen all the medical jobs in orlando! If you entire biology into the search engine, that's all that ever comes up, nothing as to my type of biology!

I found another program in my searching today that is literally 5 minutes from my house and more what I want to do so I am going to look into that one. They have a having an info session on the 17th so I am going to go. Oh the joy of getting more student loans! :rotfl:

Congrats on the new career prospects LL---I hope you find what you are looking for!!!!

Stace---sorry about awful coworker situation---YUCK!!!!!

Hope everyone had a good gnomie day!

New career possibilities are intriguing... especially those in Orlando!

LL- more loans won't be fun but neither is going to work everyday and hating it. If it's something you want to do, I say go for it!

UGH gnomies, I feel disgusting. This morning Daniel asked if we could go out to lunch for our last "stay at home with Mommy" day (before summer break starts :rotfl:...I know, not very logical!) So I said yes and let him choose where we went and he chose the local pizza buffet place. I ate WAY too much for lunch but it didn't start to hit me until tonight after I dared to eat dinner. I now have the most wicked, fierce heartburn possible! On top of that, I'm just imagining how many calories I consumed today :sad2: I SERIOUSLY need to get back on top of my weight or I will be miserable. (is there a "kicking myself in the ***" smilie?

Hmm... a kicking myself in the *** smilie.

I don't think so.

BUT- maybe this is a "we'll-stop-kicking-ourselves-and-do-better-tommorow" smilie!

Hey gang---just popping in for a quick hello!!!! I am going to be a little busy today....Megs has a rehearsal all morning for her recital which is tomorrow, and then I have some sewing projects I have to do to get the costumes ready to go. I also have to start thinking about packing at some point because we are going out of town over the weekend to visit dear friends of ours who live in Kansas City, Missouri. We are having wicked weather to boot---seriously, the kind that drives CP NUTS!!---so that only complicates everything since I HAVE to go out in it!!!! YIKES!!! Wish me luck and say some prayers that we get there and back safely today!!! BECAUSE, then I get to do it all over again tomorrow with the recital to add in to it to boot!!! CRAZY madness!!! I'll try to hop on later tonight girlies.....have a great day!

Good Morning Gnomies!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I finally slept decent last night, Yay!

Hey girls! It's my LEAST favorite day of the week- Wednesday- the day I'm alone at work to room all 50 patients. Ack.

So last night Rachael mentioned something about "my trip" and I asked her what she was talking about. She said, "To Florida". And I said, "We're all going to Florida- in about 3 weeks... do you think we're going somewhere else?" and she goes, "No?"

LOL. So I'm not sure Disney is gonna be a surprise after all- maybe she realizes we ARE going anyway!

Oh la de da- better get something done before the "bus arrives".

l8r Gnomies!

She's a wise one, that Rachael! Forgive me but I've forgotten -- are you going for a day or two out of your Captiva get-away and also in Sept? :woohoo:

How's everyone else doing? I'm home today.

2 weeks and no news on DVC. Getting a bit nervous. But on the plus side I am 2 weeks from ADR day! Time to get planning! :yay:

Hey Gnomies!

Well, after a crummy monday, tuesday was much better! I went shopping (not much - I'm BROKE!), went to lunch at Olive Garden (God Bless your country and the Olive Garden!) and then came back home and watched more movies with my cousins!

I just want to say a huge thank you to you guys for all of your encouragement regarding my current work and family situations. You guys are great friends and I am lucky to have you all.   - but let's see how the little schemer tried to affect next week's hours considering I beat her numbers last week by 8%! ;)

Are you sick, C? Or is this a mental health day? ;) :lmao:

Stace, good for you beating her #'s! :thumbsup2

I'm bored at work today. I have work but I just don't feel like doing it. I am very unmotivated. It just makes me feel like I really should go back to school. I did find out that because the course I want to take is a certificate program, I can't get a regular student loan which means I need to get a personal loan. With my credit being on the crappy side with my debt I highly doubt I can get one. I am feeling very discouraged. :guilty:

Thanks LL! I am killing time before work....my lovely 3 hour shift....just feels like such a waste of time! If you like, you can read my new TR update! ;) Don't worry, my credit is rather on the crummy side too. You can always try to get a loan, and if it doesn't work out, you can always save up since chances are the course will still be around in awhile. Things will work out

God Bless your country and the Olive Garden!

OK-this cracked me up! Clearly I have not given proper thanks to the Olive Garden. In fact, believe it or not I've only been once in my whole life and that was maybe 10-15 years ago!

Glad you had a better day Tuesday and :woohoo: on beating the schemer w/ your sales #'s.

Unfortunately sick sick. Hopefully not swine flu! :scared: Don't let the loan issue get you down. Would the school possibly offer a payment plan? And as Stacy said you can always try for the personal loan! Where there's a will, there's a way! :goodvibes

Oh no! Sorry you're sick C! Do you really think it's the flu or just a bad cold. I think it's about that time for those summer colds.

Stace-Way to go on the sales! You kick her butt into gear! :thumbsup2

Julez-Good luck at work today! Rachael is very smart indeed! ;)

LL-Good luck with the loans! I'm very unmotivated too, which certainly does not help with considering I have 9 weeks left before fall graduation deadline. I need to get movin! But you'll be ok though. Don't let it get you down, there are plenty of other options. Like the other girls said, you can just put money aside each week. Blake and I are already up to $100 in change for our Disney trip, maybe you should do that too but for your school!

Oh Christine!!! When I get to the USA I eat there like, three times a day!! I just finished off my leftovers from yesterday! Oh I love love love love it!

Well, I'm off to work now! Have a good afternoon all!

You know, I don't think I have even been over to your Part 2 of your TR. Bad LL! I will head over there for sure!

The school has a set payment plan but it's just too much to put up front for us, we dont' have it. It's just a bummer. I'm still going to search out options for financing.

We don't usually use cash so that probably wouldn't work for us, we use our debit cards. We'll come up with something I am sure, we always do. :thumbsup2
