Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

So.... I am thinking about it and resisting my PTR so I will write my first draft itinerary here:

Day 1- Sept 23rd. Arrive to Orlando about 3:30 on Southwest. I'm thinking of moving this flight up so that we have a full day though.

*World Showcase* Dinner at Akershus w/the princesses. Illuminations. Back to Pop to sleep.

Day 2- Sept. 24th. My birthday!! Will be spending this day at the Magic Kingdom. Will be collecting my $75 gift card to buy myself and Rachael some goodies. Breakfast will have been school bread or other pastries picked up at WS the night before. This is an early EMH so we'll hit Fantasyland first thing, followed by Splash Mountain and lunch will be EITHER Tony's OR Trails End. Will shop and enjoy Main Street until 3 o'clock parade- which we will view from ... I haven't decided yet. We'll be having dinner at Cosmic Rays and just kickin' it- doing whatever until Wishes.

Day 3- Sept. 25th. This morning is free to sleep in slightly. B'fast at Poly @ O'hana w/Stitch etc., Will catch the monorail over to GF and Rachael may be doing the cooking activity for kids. We will then go do the free mini-golf and probably go back to Pop to swim and change before MNSSHP. Dinner this night may be at Pop or at Pecos' Bills again. Last year we split a double cheeseburger and that worked out nicely.

Day 4- Sept. 26th. Will be doing FW @ Epcot. Really want to explore this completely. Lunch will probably be Garden Grill. Hopefully this day will include a meet w/you gnomies that will be there. We'll do our favorites or whatever we missed in WS and then probably head back to bed early or for a swim before hitting the sack.

Day 5- Sept. 27th. Leaving on an 8am flight so we'll be checked out early! If I can move the flight forward a few hours for the same price, I might be doing that, but I really want time when we get home to put away my stuff and get a good night's sleep before Rachael and I go back to school and work on Monday.

:woohoo:

Would you be up for possibly meeting a gnomie? :flower3:

I'm arriving on Thurs 9/24. Have plans that night but am thinking about MNSSHP on the 25th and have no firm plans for the 26th. Hope we can work something out! Are you getting excited!? :dance3: I hate to wish the summer away but still....

Julez, your plans look really good! The only thing is that Garden Grill isn't doing lunch anymore I don't think. They weren't in May and I think I read on here that they are only doing dinner now.

OOooo!! Yes yes!! You will be there my birthday on? How awesome that will be! Erm... you should do MNSSHP w/us! Oh wait- aren't you all doing that later in the week? We'd do it twice if we could! ::yes::

Ooooo- good tip on Garden Grill, LL. I guess I'll go for something else. San Angel Inn has a really bad rap- although me and Rach are so easy to please I'm hesitant to not go w/that choice. Nothing else appeals to me in FW though really.....

Yes! As of now, am planning on doing MNSSHP twice. Once the 25th and then once with Jen and Paula. I am undecided on the whole costume thing. Thinking that at the most will be rocking the custom t-shirt. I'm not a big costume person.

I can't wait!! :hyper:

Yay!! Yes, I don't want to wear a costume either but Rachael is pretty convinced she wants to be Sally from Nightmare.... I may get away w/just a Sally t-shirt!

OOOoooh!! I'm wonderin' if Rach and I should take a boat from Epcot to the Boardwalk and go to Cape May for the latest breakfast ADR?! How long does that take- anyone know?

So exciting to make plans! :hyper: To walk from Epcot International Gateway to Beach Club and Cape May is ~5-10 min. Boat may be slightly more depending on timing. But seriously, VERY easy and quick walk.

And if you're eating at BC, that's where I'm staying so maybe I could meet you? :flower3::rolleyes1 But totally ok if you want a mom/daughter breakfast. :thumbsup2

Oh I don't know Julez. Can't be that long but that sounds like an EXCELLENT idea!

Evening girls! SO jealous of all your vacation planning!!

We've also had a really lazy weekend. Greg and I both feel poorly yesterday and between a nap for each of us and groceries and mowing, that pretty much was our day. Today was beautiful again (yesterday was pretty rainy after several wonderful days late in the week) and the boys and I went to the nature center on the edge of town and just explored the trails a little. It was a really nice way to spend an hour and half. We were able to get some steaks grilled before the dark clouds rolled in. Now we are under severe thunderstorm and tornado watches for the night.

Back to work tomorrow. I have a late meeting which will get me home later than usual. Mama Mia is on Wednesday. Thursday I am volunteering at Patrick's field day then t-ball night so we have some busy days ahead of us.

Hi Katie! I just can't imagine regular tornado warnings. :sad2: Hope they are steering clear of CP in Orlando. I will have to go check the WDW weather.

Your day sounds delightful! Mama Mia is something fun to look forward to as is field day! :yay: Summer is almost here!! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

That would be completely awesome!! Will you be on DDP too or room-only? We'd have to figure out how they'd bill it.... That would be totally fun though you should def. meet us there and check out the characters in their beach gear! :cutie:

I am not on the dining plan but would love to check it out. I would think they could separate our bills easily. So excited! :hyper:

------------

Anyone feel like chatting? :upsidedow

I'll chat now! I'm totally not doing anything! And it's a beautiful day- that's heaven, I say!

Hey Gnomies!

I've actually had a pretty busy weekend! Lauren and I went out to Ikea (in Burlington, about 1.5 hrs. from London) on Saturday and today we went to this garden show in Stratford with her mum and aunt and then out for lunch! Then I came home and had a 3 hour nap! Got up, had some dinner and now I'm watching NPH on the Tonys! I really would love to see Billy Elliot!

I hope you're all taking care of yourselves in whatever kind of weather you're having. We've got some rain going and it's supposed to be cool but right now it's pretty humid out and making everything sticky!

I'm glad to hear most of you are having lovely, relaxing weekends! It's too bad tomorrow is monday....but I can't complain, I only work 4 hrs. tomorrow.

Juelz- make a birthday wish for me too at Wishes! I know that no matter what you do you guys will have an amazing day!

UGH!! I want to go in September too!! Stupid job....

Hey Jess!! I know I am sooo super excited for season 2! I saw the teaser scenes on HBOCanada a couple days ago! I finally finished Living Dead In Dallas (book2) so I'm ready! Should be awesome! I'll have to remember to keep my Fangtasia shirt clean to wear to watch it!:rotfl:

Another Monday. :headache: LL- good luck easing back into the work routine. Hope you enjoyed your two weeks off!

I checked on CP's itinerary- they're off to Epcot today and are dining at Rose & Crown for dinner. And I believe tonight they are seeing Illuminations for the first time. Think she has a DIS meet too with wigdout disney mom.

Sure wish I was there instead of here! :rolleyes1

Have a great day, everyone! :upsidedow

Good morning gnomies. It's a blue Monday for me :sad1: 52 weeks ago this morning we were getting ready to head to the airport to fly to WDW *SIGH* I miss it so!
