Left Tropical Shores at 9.45 for the drive back to Orlando. Looked like being another very hot and sunny day. We had to have a couple of stops for the loo and just to experience the USA version of motorway stops - surprise, surprise much nicer! There were some workmen there actually working:rolleyes1

Didn't hang around too long when we noticed this!

The boys were very good in the car bearing in mind they didn't have their usual DVD players to watch on journeys.

Arrived at HRH about 12.15pm, lovely driving up to the entrance in our own car and unloading the bags. Went and checked in, we had booked the room months ago when the price glitch appeared and went for the cheapest room (we had stayed here club level last year but decided against it this year). However, DH being a lot cheekier than I am asked if there were any club level or pool view rooms going! They asked for my mobile number and said they would call when a room is ready. We went out to the pool to see if there was somewhere for us to change into our swimwear so we could chill out by the pool. We were directed to the gym changing rooms, they were very nice, sauna, plenty of showers and loads of toiletries, even mouthwash!!!! Same in the mens (apparently) shaving equipment etc.
Had a couple of hours by the pool, when I checked my phone I had missed 3 phone calls so we assumed a room was ready, we changed went back to check in and told we had room 5114 which was at the end of a very long corridor very near the side exit of the building meaning we could go down a set of unattractive concrete stairs to go to the parks which saved a long trek otherwise. We had asked for a quiet room and that is what we received.

Cont'd ...

I've not made many notes for today so if my memory is correct I think we called in NBA for a meal before actually entering the parks as it was about 6pm.

Glen wanted a chocolate frog ($10!!!! for a bit of chocolate) I didn't really want to pay that but thought why not he's not going to be able to get it anywhere else but when I saw the queue for the checkout he told me not to bother. There was only 2 people in the queue for Butterbeer so we went to try that only to be told the machine wasn't working properly so we didn't get to experience any of the goodies.

I dont think id want to hang around Wendy after reading that sign:rolleyes1

Your room looks lovely:thumbsup2

Looking forward to reading about tomorrows early entry:yay:

I got a chocolate frog, I didn't like it that much, DH ate it though.

We were there two weeks before you and was amazingly busy. loved being able to do the early entry and are planning on this again next year.

Butterbeer is good - hope you get to try it tomorrow!!

Hard Rock room looks nice - hope you got better service than we did at RPR :lmao:
The early park entry with your room key is certainly worth it. the queues for HP in August was unbelievable :scared1:

Hi Wendy

We love the city peir on Anna Maria Island. We have had some of our nicest meals there. It helps that you can watch the dolphins swimming by while you are eating.

Great day, we'd steer well clear of any area with snakes in it as well.
