Friday 6th August
IOA this morning. First stop the Hulk, only Glen and I would ride (same as last year) but the difference this year is it gave me a terrible headache that only got worse as the morning went on!
I don't remember much only the pounding head but I do recall going on Bilge Rats and getting wet through, there were 2 other parents with children who all wanted to ride again (as did our 2) so I couldn't escape a 2nd drenching! Demanded a coffee by now to see if I could shift the bad head - great idea, wet through and sitting in a cafe that felt like a fridge brrrrrr!!!! Later in the day we saw a Circus show with motorbike stunts, blimey that was LOUD, as if the bikes themselves weren't noisy enough why do the announcers have to shout down the microphone (can you tell I wasn't in the mood for fun and frolics today). We returned to the hotel to change and decided to go out in our car which had been neglected since arriving at HRH. I wanted to try the Cheesecake Factory (and I'm so glad we did).
I had a strawberry lemonade and John and Glen had a raspberry one, they were delicious, one of the nicest drinks I think I've ever had.
Didn't really have room for cheesecake but we couldn't pass up the opportunity of trying some, so had a little taste then asked for a carry out container.
Then came the expensive afternoon shopping, trainers for Glen and golf shoes for John. I just had to contend with looking in the Tiffanys shop window and a play in the Apple store.
Must have gone back to the parks in the evening although I haven't made a note of it these pics were on that days photos!
