No Water!

Got up this morning to no water! Not a single drop was coming from the taps.

The whole of our village and the neighbouring village have been cut off due to a mains water burst!
I rushed to work so I could use the loo , but as far as I know there is still no water.

Local schools are closed, but DW's school was open so she has had to go in (after moaning about not being able to wash her hair!).

Oh poor you - you have my sympathy. We're having problems with our showers which we can't get to the bottom of. Having a bath every morning is bad enough.
I understand your wife, I'd hate to leave the house without a shower/bath or hair wash....
Pegs on noses all round at the local pub tonight then

We had no water for 2 weeks during the floods last summer. I just had to keep reminding myself that we were the lucky ones because we didn't have any flood damage, but it was a nightmare. I hope it's all back on before you get home this evening, Tim.

Good news - water is back

Although I don't think the original break has been fully fixed. Severn Trent have managed to re-direct alternative supplies.
I had to come home via an alternative route due to temporary traffic lights where the pipe burst.

Over 7000 homes were without water this morning!

Hope it's sorted soon. when ours went off I kept forgetting and kept going to the tap etc. and can't, very frustrating. We do take our water supply for granted and really miss it when it's poorly.

Think ours was around 2 1/2weeks last year
