Hi! Saw article on Facebook that they are extending the no FastPass reservations after May 7 th until June 30 th!
Ugh. We go mid June to right before then.
Wonder if rope drop or last thing at night would have shorter lines?

Once FPs goes away, I expect rope drop to be crazy! Running with the bulls crazy. I would opt for late at night, but that does potentially mess with any F! or SWS plans.

Did the article say how many track would be open during this time period? That will make a big difference on the wait times.

I would think late night would be better, not a lot of toddlers can hang that late (well my toddler can't)

Toy Story Mania continues to remain open but will be down a track or two while the refurbishments continue. Disney has not announced any plans as of now to completely close the ride for a period of time but we will relay the info if they do.

We only have 1 night planned at HS right now for SWS. But we are at Disney for 9 days with hoppers. So we could go back at night just for TS. One of our favorites! ( well except my 13 yo DD).

Article said that reservations open for June 30 th ride....so 60 or 30 days from June 30 th FastPass will be available again. Your July trip is safe.

Hm, gosh we might just nix our whole HS morning. We planned one morning (mid June trip) there but only to do TSMM and ST, both of which we have exact copies of here at DL. No one else in our group has interest in any other rides and we aren’t big on shows with a 2 year old. If it’s going to be extra mayhem because of that we might just skip it entirely. I had hoped we would get lucky with a soft opening but 15 days early is probably pushing it.

As we previously reported, Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios is currently not offering FastPasses due to the entrance of the ride being refurbished to all Guests to enter through the new Toy Story Land. Originally, FastPasses were supposed to be available again for Guests visiting Disney World looking ride Toy Story Mania beginning May 7.

Well, now we are within the 60-day mark for Guests to be able to make FastPasses for their trips on May 7 and beyond and Toy Story Mania is still not available for a FastPass. After hearing from one of our readers and speaking directly with Disney, it appears that FastPasses for Toy Story Mania will now not be available until Toy Story Land opens on June 30.
Toy Story Mania continues to remain open but will be down a track or two while the refurbishments continue. Disney has not announced any plans as of now to completely close the ride for a period of time but we will relay the info if they do.

Interesting. I did notice that people who commented on the article had fast passes for the ride during this period. Not sure if they are lying or what. I hope they have the fast passes sooner than that for our trip. We will be here when it opens (plan to go to HS july 1 ) but would like to ride that ride before the total chaos hits

We have ridden it during the fireworks before park closing when they only have one track running and gotten off and right back on. One night we rode it 4 or 5 times in a row to the point I was nauseous. My kids and Dh rode it another time or two without me. Granted this was before FP were unavailable but we leave in 2 weeks and our plan is to hit it late.

The people who commented have FPs for next week. The FP line doesn't close until Apr 9.

Only one track will be open from April through June 30th.

Yes. However, we don't know how the new Toy Story attractions will change tiers at DHS yet.

No word on DAS yet. Its going to be interesting to see how they even handle standby.

We were there today and the ride CM’s said they have literally been told them same thing as all of us. Even they don’t know if/when the ride will close or change before June 30th, apart from the 4/9 one-track, no FP+ thing we all know.
