MVMCP REVIEW: AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!

After the parade we stopped to get some more goodies but it was nearing midnight and I was just about wrapping it up for the night. I wish we had gotten more goodies at the party but it was just a lot going on and I wasn't very hungry..another reason why I like Halloween better!

We decided to stop and get some castle pics on the way to see Duffy!

We finally made it to Duffy!

We looked through the gift shops and I made a few more purchases before deciding to call it a night and walk back to CR. B and her BF decided to stay and ride Space Mt. before calling it a night.

Park Map and Bracelet:

I enjoy the look of the new bracelets but they are a bit like hospital bracelets and if put on too tight, they can be uncomfortable!

When I was walking out of the park, I got two of these little babies!

I had a great time at the party! I'm looking forward to the one tomorrow and again on the 16th. I will especially love the one on the 16th because it will be the official start to my Xmas break and it won't be on a school night!!

HOLIDAYS AT WDW: EPCOT AND DHS!!


I've been wanting to spend more time in the parks especially since they are decked for Xmas but between being busy at school and going home for 9 days at Thanksgiving, I'm slowly getting there!

Here are some pics that I got at Epcot and DHS!!

EPCOT:

The day I was there, they were testing out a new entrance system. They scanned your ticket before bag check and you got a sticker if you had a paper ticket/AP. You then could go up to an electronic mickey head and hold your ticket up to it. It would circle yellow and flash green if you are allowed in. You also had to provide your finger print. I guess we'll see if they become official!

The same day I was at Epcot, I ate at the China QS and got orange chicken, ginger ice cream, and diet coke:

DHS:

On Nov 15, I went to DHS with some friends and grabbed some pics of the lights! Since we didn't stay more than 15 mins I didn't get a ton but there will be more soon enough!

ANIMAL KINGDOM

A few weeks ago, I decided to go to AK and watch the Christmas parade!!!

I do love the parade!! I can't believe I had never seen the AK parades until I worked at WDW!! They are a must if you have the time and patience to stay till 3:45pm!!

After the parade I ate dinner at Flame Tree BBQ! I got the pork sandwich!

ONCE UPON A CHRISTMASTIME!!!!

Welcome to another pre-trip report!!!

Now that all of my events at school are over, friends have come and gone, and all my gifts are bought/wrapped, I can finally get to the PTR!!!!!!

Hopefully I still have some viewers out there!!!

ENJOY!!!

RESORT:

We are booked in a standard room but are hoping for some sort of magical upgrade. Savanna view was not available when we booked so hopefully we are able to get something when we check in!

DINING: QS DDP and we'll be paying for CLP out of pocket

TRAVEL: Bro and I will be driving since we live in Orlando and mom and dad will be flying:

THURSDAY DEC 15, 2011

I will be working that day till 4:30pm and picking mom and dad up at MCO around 6:30pm.

We will be heading straight to:

After dinner we'll head to Epcot for Holiday Illuminations!

Mom and dad will be staying the night at my apt since I work on Friday and it would be a waste of money or points to stay at the Marriott like we had planned.

FRIDAY DECEMBER 16, 2011

We will be getting up at the crack of dawn to check into:

Mom and dad will take me to work and then head to:

After picking me up around 12:30pm, we'll head back to AKL, grab lunch, hopefully unpack if the room is ready and get ready for MVMCP!!!!

SATURDAY DECEMBER 17, 2011

We will sleep in for a little bit and then head to check out some cars! My car is about done for it so we'll head to Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai and see who's willing to wheel and deal!!!

After car shopping we'll head to:

We are going to hit both parks and ride some things we did in June and others that we missed. We will see the Christmas parade at 5:30pm and have dinner at:

I've never eaten at one before so I hope it's good!

After dinner, we'll head back to Studios and see Mannheim Steamroller at 8pm.

I feel like we'll be wasting our DDP for that day but we'll make it up by doing breakfast for a few days which I don't like to do (waste of money to me) but we'll use the meals!

SUNDAY DECEMBER 18, 2011

We will spend the day/night at:

Chita Rivera is doing our CLP show so I'm thrilled to be seeing her again!

We will stay till Illuminations!

MONDAY DECEMBER 19, 2011

We will spend the day/early evening at:

After the lights, we'll probably check out Illuminations again or head straight to MK for PM EMH till 3am!

TUESDAY DECEMBER 20, 2011

We will sleep in after the late night, hope for 1pm check out and maybe go mini golfing!

Mom and dad's flight isn't until 6pm so we'll leave for MCO just before 4pm.

I'll be flying home for 10 days on the 21st so it will be a quick night of packing/unpacking for me!

I think we have a lot of good things planned and I'm looking forward to the last few days of school and Xmas break!!!!

We didn't change too much around and we didn't get much sleep but it was worth it!!

We love Chita!! We saw her a few years ago when she was a replacement for Vanessa Williams and we've loved her since! Can you believe she's like 79 years old?!

omg! (this is going to sound totally creepy...lol) I remember reading your TR/Blog about the CP on here a longgggg time ago. Reading your blog REALLY inspired me to apply for the program. I remember you had all these pictures of the things you and your roommates would do at the parks...it just looked like so much fun! So weird because I was maybe a jr/sr in high school when I first read it. I didn't apply until the end of my freshman year in college, but so glad I did. Thank you SO much. Nice to see that you're back in Orlando! Good luck with everything.

HI DIS FRIENDS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Sorry I have been MIA for a long time but first my high school bff and her family came to visit for a week, I had a few days to readjust, and then my parents came. After they left, I left and I'm now at home in Cincinnati till the 31st!

HAVE YOU SEEN MY RECENT TICKER????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!


My goal for this year is to do a Disney Cruise with my mom!!

Dad has NO desire to do a cruise (he says people die) so it's a great mother/daughter adventure! I'm looking at the 3night/4day April 26 cruise and if not then, sometime in Oct. Mom thinks I should wait to go in the fall after I see what my financial/living situation will be but I think we should go this spring since I know I'm financially stable/know my living conditions so we'll see!

I've already ordered the free DCL DVD and I'm going to try and get a cruise book from Half Price Books and go from there! I don't have a passport but those I've talked to say you need one (to be on the safe side) and others have said no. Even on one site I read that they encourage you to leave your passport in your room safe when you get off at Nassau and Castaway Cay so we'll see!

Any tips or tricks...LET ME KNOW!!!! It will be my first cruise EVER!

THURSDAY DECEMBER 15, 2011

The day started off like any other day for me. I worked till 4:30 and went home till I got the heads-up that mom and dad were on the plane.

They were scheduled to land at 6:18 and ended up landing at 6:00pm so as I was getting off the airport exit, they were already landed and heading off the plane..figures.

I ended up meeting them at baggage and it took a good 1/2 hour to get their bags...Xmas crowds had begun!

We took "MEGAN'S MAGICAL EXPRESS" straight to Beach Club and attempted to get into Beaches + Cream but it was a 45 min wait so Mom and I headed to ESPN and Dad went to Epcot (to see CLP).

Sorry no dinner pics but we did both get the hot dog and they were good!!!

After our dinner we went to Epcot and waited for dad to get out of the CLP (he waited in stand-by).

After Illuminations, we headed out of the park and to "MEGAN'S MAGICAL RESORT" lol.

I really wish I would have taken pics of how I had my apt set up for one night but I didn't!!! My parents ended up sleeping on the pull-out couch and used my roomies bathroom since she's moved out. Apparently before we left the next morning my mom left a $2 and I died when I saw it!!

My dad's only complaint was there weren't any Disney Towel Animals...NEXT TIME!

FRIDAY DECEMBER 16, 2011

My alarm went off at 5:45am and when I got up, mom was already up and showered!

The plan was to leave by 7, check into AKL, dump the bags, grab breakfast, and head to work.

We did leave at 7, we dumped our bags, we checked in, and found that our room was ready, AND WE WEREN'T LOOKING AT A PARKING LOT!!! Once again my friend D came through and said our view was a "standard/savanna" view but if you ask me..it was a savanna view 100%

Left by the Mousekeeper who sadly we only had for that morning and the day before we checked out since her days off were Sat/Sun.

And I give you what our 'NON SAVANNA VIEW IS':

Not only did we have a Savanna view but we had a view of 2 different savannas!! We were actually in a room that was 2 before the room we were in back in 2008 which was funny and the longest walk in history but we were luckily on the side that the pool/food was so it wasn't a bad walk in the end.

After doing the Bed Bug check and calling for luggage, we headed down to the food court for a quick breakfast.

We paid for the fruit OOP.

As for our mugs: I got black, Mom-pink, Dad-green, Bro-black.

After a quick breakfast, the 3 of us hopped into my car and headed to work! They dropped me off, toured the school, and took my car till AK till I was picked up at 12:30pm to start my 2 week Xmas vacation!!!!

The kids did Secret Santa:

This is half the food that was brought in!

At 12:30 my Xmas Vacation had begun and I walked away with a few gifts and cash from the teacher collection they did!!!

Oh it is funny and it's so true!!!! I told him on a DCL that's not likely to happen at all and we don't even need a room with a verandah to decrease the chances but he said he'd rather fly to Nassau or any other island than cruise there...figures

Can't wait! If my mom bails and you are interested in taking a few days off around the end of April, let me know lol.

We got the DCL DVD and man, it made me want to go on one of the cruises even more! That'll be so awesome if you end up going on one.

LOL!! Because people get thrown off the ships or jump off the ships or drink too much and do silly things on the ships but can't that happen anywhere?!

We've had two Savanna views now staying at AKL and I don't think we could have any other views now. We've looked at what the Standard views were and man it doesn't even compare to Savanna..even pool view wasn't too great either!

Oh, and I know your experience with our resort that we've chosen. Let's just say, bed bug check will be first. It's a good thing we are driving. Those bags are staying in the truck before they come into the room.

See, 8A would definitely be my dream area at CSR. I always seem to need to do laundry, at it so close to the bus stop there, I would love it. I'm really excited now!
