Ugh I'm sorry you're so sick! I had awful bronchitis right up until we left for Disney last week, so I really hope that's all of the sickness I'm going to get for a while!

Ughh, I was so annoyed when I heard that MNSSHP was sold out! I looked for you, because I knew you were wearing a pumpkin shirt, but I didn't see you, however, there were so many freakin people there, I might have walked right by you and not even noticed!

YAY for APs! The CSR rooms look as gorgeous as always, same with the view. Great costume, so cute. I hope the "sold out" MNSSHP doesn't translate to anything bad per say...

It was super busy It was the last cheap night for CMs, AP/DVC, and general public so it was pretty nuts. I wish we had paid $5-10 more and went on Sunday!

Thanks! I am feeling better. Our storm has come and gone which I'm glad because I didn't feel guilty wasting my weekend/outdoors! This weekend looks to be in the mid 80s and I'm planning at least one day to go to TL or BB!!!

We actually were there that week and also at MNSSHP on the 30th and we heard on that Thursday that they were sold out, I was so glad I had gotten the tickets a few days before then. It was crazzzzyyy on the 30th. We stayed for the second parade and everything. The kids were pretty much done after that although they would have loved to have gone through a couple of more candy lines. (my daughter asked me to put the pirate in since she and her brother were pirates at MNSSHP on the 30th). I can't wait to read more, loving every minute of it. Would love to find you on fb if you are ok with that just so I can keep up with all your WDW/Universal adventures. I would love to move down there but I think the timing would have to be right, maybe once my kids get through school maybe they can do the CP and then I could move down there. Anyway, can't wait to read more!!

We were there the same time you were. My son and I stayed at Pop from Sept 22-Oct 2. We went to the MNSSHP on the 23rd and it was still crowded. My DD wants to attend UF in four years and I refuse to pay $60000 a year for out of state tuition so we may move to Fla her Jr or Sr year. How is Kissimmee with the living conditions? Someone told me not to move to Poinciana at all. Looking forward to reading more!

The Kissimmee area can be nice depending on the area you are in. Celebration is a part of that county that Kissimmee is in and is where I teach. Celebration is the best area to live in and I believe has the better schools compared to other Osceola Co. schools. Don't move to Poinciana!!! I live in South Kissimmee near Davenport/Clermont and it's a nice area and not as busy as Lake Buena Vista. I'm about 10 mins from AK give or take depending on traffic or lights but never more than 10 mins!

MNSSHP...SOLD OUT!!!

HI DIS FRIENDS!!!

I hope everyone had a great week! I'm glad my Amox worked and my sinus infection is gone! I'm glad I can have a sickness-free weekend!!

Some news..

*Bro and I ate at Princess Norway Dinner last night in Epcot! We were able to get a 7pm 2 hours before the ADR time. I will be reporting on that after the TR.

**You probably noticed a new ticker!! I'll be doing a mini WDW with Danielle (IHeartDDuck)!!!! I'm in the process of deciding where I want to stay for Sat night. I'll be doing the QS DDP but I'm up in the air over resort choice. My choices are: Pop (costs $24 extra), Sports (stayed at before), Music (never stayed at before, and Movies (disliked when stayed there). I'm leaning towards Music as it's new for me and I'll only be there to sleep! I don't feel that the $24 EXTRA for Pop worth it for just one night. What do you think?!

***Plans are coming together for our Dec trip. I'll be starting that PTR after this TR. We're waiting to see who the TBA CLP narrator will be on the 16-18th to make our plans final! We have 2 ADRs booked for CLP until further notice.

****I might be having one or two Dis meets this weekend/week/next weekend! Stay tuned to find out if it happens!


NOW FOR THE REPORT....

FRIDAY SEPT 30, 2011

When I left off, I was waiting for a bus to MK for MNSSHP. It took 20 mins which kind of stunk and the bus was nearly full but off we went! I was upset to see the blow up mickey pumpkins were not turned on at the toll booths!

I got into the park with ease and met mom and dad near Tonys.

They were proud to show off their APs!!

We decided to ride Space Mt. first followed by Jungle Cruise! Just before 7pm, Dad decided he wanted to see Hall of Presidents so we did and I was anxious to get my candy on!

It was when we got out of the show, I noticed the masses of people and was suddenly very happy that I went with B the week before and got all of my party pictures because I only took one the whole night!!!

After the show, we decided to head to PVH since CHH was closed. We all got pizza, salads, and diet cokes! It was over $30 and I had wished we had done the DDP..but we didn't.

After our yummy dinner we decided to get some candy and find a parade spot....too bad all the spots were gone. We settled for a crowded area near the Shooting Gallery. We had missed the headless horseman of the first parade..boo!

Bro met up with us and wanted to get Pecos for dinner...

BIG MISTAKE!!!!

It took him..no lie..45 mins to get the taco salad and bottle of water!!!!

It was so horrible that he almost missed Hallowishes!

He made it in time and after the show, we went to Tomorrowland to hit the candy stops there, Fantasyland, and rode HM.

We thought the 2nd parade would be dead...

WRONG...

Once again we didn't get right on the ropes and were a row behind another family...

EPIC FAIL.

I don't usually wait for parades but for Boo to You..I will, and wished we had!

After the parade we watched the Villians show, rode BTM, SM, hit some more candy stops, stopped at the gift shop near funnel cakes for party merchandise and left MK at 12am.


Sorry for the lack of pics!!! The park was nuts!! My dad (the party virgin), still likes the Xmas one better but did enjoy the fireworks and parade! He ended up getting the best candy out of all of us!

We caught a bus back to CSR right away and were in bed by 1:30am.

I'm so sorry that the party was so busy! The (sadly only) time I went to the party it was back before it was extremely popular. We were fine paying the extra money, because it was a chance to get a lot of things done in a short period of time.

45 minutes to get taco salad and water?! That's just wrong on so many levels.

I say stay at Music! Since you've never stayed there before and it's a place to rest your head. I'm excited! These three weeks can not go by fast enough. I feel like I'm in an endless countdown!

Hi Megan! I'm almost positive I saw you at Pinocchio Village Haus! I was at the counter debating on one tray or two and I think you helped me organize my tray better to make it in one trip .... was that you???

Can't believe it was so crazy busy! Dinner looked yummy. Can't believe you will be going with Danielle 1 week before we get there! We are doing the Christmas party for the first time. Need your recommendation on catching the first or second parade.

Even though it was busy, it sounds like you accomplished a lot! I am glad you didn't have pictures--it meant you were enjoying the time instead of worrying about photos!!

I don't think the extra $24 is worth it for one night. If it was a longer stay, I'd pay because (based on what I've read) bus service is better. I had the same dilemma when booking for our upcoming trip. Pop no longer had AP disc. rooms available. I went with Music. Music was only $79 for the night (including tax), and we are arriving about 11 pm, and doing parks in the am before transferring to BCV, so I couldn't justify the extra either!

I am anxious to see the TBA CP person too. Trace Adkins is for the rest of our stay, but I am not into country music, so I'd prefer someone else. My bf loves country so she might be excited!

Glad you're feeling better, there is nothing worse than a sinus infection! I had surgery when I was younger and thankfully have been good since!

Music is our favorite value resort and we usually request the Broadway section because of Beauty and the Beast!!

Yes, it was pretty crazy! I felt horrible because he was so hungry!! I think I'll be going with music (booking tomorrow), I did read that Movies just had a refurb but all they have is Preferred rooms left and at $15 extra, I still don't think it's worth it! We'll see, I'm going to decide by tomorrow! If not, it will be music!

OMG, I read your post and called my mom right away and we couldn't believe it! I offered to carry your 2nd tray for you! I think if I had, I would have realized it was your family!!! I'm so excited for our weekend! I'm off for Veterans Day so I need to go back and see when your dates are again to see if you'll be around for the following weekend in case I head south to visit my grandparents over V-Day Weekend. I would say if you are going to MK more than once (party or not) and have the time to see both parades, see them! I would suggest getting a last min spot for the 1st and waiting after F-works for the 2nd with maybe some hot chocolate and cookies!

Ditto on Trace. That's why we double booked CLP and were told you have up to 24 hr before the ADR to cancel but we'd like to be done and have our decision made! I think I'll go with music! Movies just had a refurb but they only have preferred rooms left and the extra $15 could be saved for xmas gifts, lol.

Ooo! Thanks for the tip! I had my adenoids removed in April when I had my tonsils out and have had 2 sinus infections since then but it has been better than before surgery where I was consistently getting sinus infections and/or throat infections once a month!

SATURDAY OCT 1ST

When we left off, we were asleep in our beds at CSR. Dad did mention that he thought the rooms were smaller than POFQ when we stayed in June. I'm not sure if it's because our CSR room was a corner room with no connecting door but Dad usually has space to put his luggage next to the bed (that's next to the door) and he didn't have space. We made due and he dealt!

7am the phone rang and it was Stitch and Mickey!!

Everyone was slow to get up but we wanted to be at DHS for EMH!!!

We left by 7:45am, skipping breakfast which was fine for Dad and I, not Mom..she loves her coffee!!!

Bro was off that morning but was unable to meet with us bc he had to take his roomie to MCO.

We drove to DHS, parked in the first lot and got right in!

Dad wanted FP for TSM which we got and headed to RnR. It posted a 20 min wait but was nearly walk on! ToT was next and we rode twice. After the 2nd time it started to back up and we were hungry!

We went to the little coffee shop outside of ToT and got pastries, mom-coffee, dad-water, myself-pumpkin spice latte which was "okay".

After breakfast we headed to Star Tours and waited 10 mins or so. After the ride we walked through Streets of America and had a pleasant surprise!

We were surprised to see how much was already up! I believe the lights start on Nov 8 or 9 so I'm pretty excited!!! It doesn't even feel like it's close to Xmas but it will be here before we know it!

We managed to fit in our TSM FP before lunch. I scored the highest of 100,000+ with Mom in 2nd, and Dad in 3rd..he wasn't happy!

By 11:30 we were hungry and ready to eat at 50s Prime Time!!!

We checked in and waited less than 5 mins and were seated at a TV table. I could have sworn I had a pic but I guess not!

We ordered and then mom got a phone call from the vet. Our one dog has had high levels (not sure of what?!) and called to get authorization to do more testing while they were away since the dogs kennel at the vets. I don't want to say that the phone call ruined the meal but it put a damper on it

I ended up with the chicken, dad the chicken pot pie, and mom the sampler.

Dad cleared his plate, I cleared mine, and mom attempted to. Dad tried to hide some of mom's food on my plate and was caught in the act...

He lied about it and was taken to the kitchen...

It was pretty funny!!!!!!

Mom went with the smores for dessert and dad and I passed on dessert. The meal was good, service great, and we were glad we went!!!

After lunch, we headed back to CSR for some pool time!!!!!

Shame on your dad trying to hide food! That's my favorite thing about 50's PTC. I love the fact that they're so into it. You'll see on my TR for July, but my mom actually got FED by our server.
