"No Thongs Allowed!"

My friend told me this story about her brother and his four teenage daughters.
After trying unsuccessfully for hours to repair his washer himself he gave up and called the repairman. The repairman took the washer apart and found the problem, a pair of thongs wrapped that had become twisted around the base of the agitator. Eighty-five dollars later the washer was repaired and the father's face was red.
The four daughters found a sign posted above the washer, "No thongs allowed!" Needless to say, when their friends visited there was a lot of laughter.

When I had my job interview at my current employer I asked about the dress code. (Lab in a Hospital) I was told no jeans and no thongs. Being a lab I assumed she meant shoes as I felt that what I had on under my pants was my own business. The interviewer (later my boss) said "no, I do mean underwear. Imagine some of these nurses in thongs in those white nursing pants." For those of you who don't know some of those white uniform pants are quite thin. Also, not to pick on nurses but we have people of all sizes in all depts that I don't need to know what they have on under their pants.
