No Test Track, Roaring Forks or BUZZ

I cannot express how said I was to read Buzz will be closed in January. My son will cry when I tell him.

Do they ever change the rehab schedule?

My son will be devestated! We will have to ride it a million times now at Thanksgiving.

One time when we went Small World was closed and I was so upset, thankfully it opened back up on our last day there! Sorry for those of you that will miss Buzz that is one of our fave rides too

I called WDW, and they know nothing about the Roaring Forks or Buzz rehab.

I don't know why it's not listed on the WDW website, but it is listed on the cast portal. I've never heard of the rehab dates changing but my location is DTD so it doesn't really come up that often. But with Disney you never know.

The word is that there will be a Grab and Go alternative for Roaring Forks at WL. Luckily, we'll have a full kitchen, so we'll just have to make sure we do a full shopping.

I posted this on another thread about Splash mtn

I know it is a slow time of the year but why would they schedule 3 major rides, Test Track, Buzz and Splash Mtn all down during the same period. It's seems like they could have waited on Splash until the other 2 opened back up. We will be there for most of the time it's closed and Splash and Test Track are our 2 favorite rides

I only see Splash Mountain a closed for 2 days in November (end of this week).... Where did you see it would be closed Jan?

Buzz Lightyear isn't a major attraction. It is loved by many, but it isn't in the same league as Test Track and Splash Mountain, which are such significant draws that they often are highlighted in Disney's advertisements.

I haven't read that Splash Mountain was to be in rehab as well. Where did you read that information? It appears that that isn't going to be the case. Regardless, even if it were to be the case, while it is unusual to have two major attractions closed for rehab at the same time, it isn't unusual for it to be the case in January. I believe I recall a time a few years ago when both Kali River Rapids and Space Mountain were closed at the same time.

I just checked a few more sources. Splash Mountain will be closed for just five days: January 23-27, 2006.

We will be there Feb. 4-10, staying at VWL, so roaring forks will affect us. Plus looks like the other rehabs will affect us too. I also read 50s PT will be going under for rehab, but hadn't heard any more news about it.

Yes, the Prime Time Cafe will be going through a rehab in the early part of next year as well. I do remember reading that also.

This may sound Wierd!!! BUT we rescheduled our WHOLE vacation because of BUZZ and TEST TRACK!!! I cannot take DS(6) and not be able to ride those.
