No Strings Attached Passes - Question

Disney gave me 12 of these to claim when I arrive on my next trip. I don't completely understand how this works.

If I go to guest services at let's say EPCOT, does that mean all of them have to be used in EPCOT or can we claim them on our arrival day and use them at whichever park we wish on whatever day we wish?

A No Strings Attached certificate is normally given to a guest as compensation for a bad experience while visiting a park. It can be used as a Fast Pass or for free ice cream, soda, etc. It can be used only once, and is valid only in the park in which it was issued.

I have never heard of the certificates being issued to guests in advance of their visit.

So directly to answer my question.... I need to obtain it from guest services in the park that it will be used? In other words, if we would most prefer to use them as entry into TSMM, then we should wait to visit Guest Services when we get to Disney Studios, correct?

I've had them waiting at GR for me in advance of a trip as a guest recovery measure from a prior visit

Just as an FYI, you may be unable to use them for TSMM. I know in the past there have been excluded rides and that was one of them.

I am sorry to disappoint you, but I don't think you will be able to use it for Toy Story Midway Mania. :(

This may not be accurate. We just returned a few weeks ago and had something happen that should not have. (I posted about it on the resort forum). I received a phone call about it from Guest Services just last week......as part of what they wanted to do to apologize for the issue, we were told that we could pick up some "no strings attached" passes on our next vacation. The CM from Guest Services specifically said they could be used for any attraction at any park on any day of our trip without limitation.

Personally, I never heard of them, but, alas there are many things that I have never heard of. That said, I would think if you are going to issue "No Strings Attached" passes there shouldn't be any strings attached. Know what I mean, Vern?

If they put all the mentioned restrictions on them, they will have to call them "All kinds of Strings Attached" passes.:rotfl:

Thank you!

My exact thought when reading the other responses.

That is our situation as well. I wrote Disney after our trip about a small incident. I was not expecting anything from them at all. I just wanted to make them aware. I was contacted by guest services and they told me this. I had actually forgotten about it until last week when I ran across the note I wrote myself and placed in my Disney folder.

I agree. The NoStrings Attached are just that. There are some readmit passes that on occasion are given out as guest recovery and those do exclude Toy Story Mania at DHS
