No-So Sweet 16: A Guilt-Filled Post--UPDATE!!!

Hello again!

I talked to my mom about it, and she said that I shouldn't worry. She said that since we decided upon it more than a year in advance, we can get a good deal and, quote, "live it up."

I was so releived!

I don't think I'll have any problem with my friends--they are all very gracious (sp?) and considerate. I really liked the idea of treating my mom to dinner, and I'm going to see how much that would be, so I can save some money. Also, my friends and I haven't planned anything at all--actually, they don't know it's in the works (one girl's father doesn't like my family, and we need to convince him WELL in advance). But I'm happy now--our trip can now fall under the category of, "Hakunna Matata!"

Now, does anyone have Disney tips for a group with four teenage girls?

Glad things worked out for you my mom is doing the same with a trip with my friend so I know how you felt and hope you have an awesome trip and you deserve it. :thumbsup2

I'm not real sure what 4 girls would want to do but I guess I could give it a shot. If I'm correct you'll be going in summer on your b-day. I'm going parasailing on our next trip and I guess you could do that with your friends, you could also do mini-golfing. You could take surfing lessons at TL so you'll be able to stay cool in the heat. I hope you have a fun trip and get some better suggestions then what said. Good Luck :thumbsup2 If your doing a meal I reccomend the Crystal Palace brkfst its not fancy pantsy but its good food, buffet-style and its with Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. Thats just my food reccomendation.

the Luau could be your special b'day dinner and fun for your Mom, as well. you could all do the Hawaiian theme thing--fun and silly.
And, if you want a "fancy" night, I don't think that you have to spend a lot of $$ at California Grill, etc. You could do it at 1900 Cinderella Dinner, which is at the Grand Floridian Hotel, or even at Kona Cafe.

If you want to stay onsite, one thing to consider is getting 2 value rooms next to each other--one for your Mom and one for the girls--that way you can "borrow" her bathroom, as well.

Have fun at your Sweet 16!

Glad it's working out for you and your family! This past spring I took my dd and 3 friends to WDW for high school graduation. Two of the girls had never been before and the third hadn't been in years and year. It was a wonderful week. The only thing that I found disappointing: not one girl wrote a thank you note afterwards (and we had paid for almost the entire trip). You're in a great position to teach your friends the value of a thank-you note, so use your influence if possible, your mom will really appreciate the effort!

Glad it worked out! For the meal for your mom I'd suggest either a dinner show or one of the princess meals.

If you and your friends drink tea or are willing to try tea (there are many different flavors that you guys could probably find something you'd enjoy), I would suggest going to Tea at the Gardenview Tea Room in the Grand Floridian. If you wanted to make that the thing you treat your mother to as weel, you can purchase her the Grand tea. It is only $25.50 and even comes with a glass of champagne which I am sure she'd appreciate. The tea comes with sandwiches and pastries and it is enough to fill anyone up.

Also, for nightlife, I would take a trip to the Adventurer's Club. Since you are not old enough to go to the dance clubs, Adv-Club at PI is a good option. It is a lot of fun!
