All staterooms on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed on all stateroom verandas, in open deck areas (except by the Mickey pool), and in some nightclubs/bars.
All other mainstream cruise lines allow smoking in any stateroom. Even NCL, which used to have designated smoking and non-smoking staterooms, now allows smoking in any stateroom. I'm told they thoroughly clean the staterooms between guests so that non-smokers can't tell that the previous occupants were smokers. I still have trouble believing this. (The exception is the Carnival Paradise, which is 100% non-smoking throughout the entire ship.)
Our next cruise will be another Disney cruise, primarily because of the non-smoking staterooms -- but we're not getting a verandah next time because on our previous Disney cruise there was a cigar smoker on the adjacent verandah.
