The one week extension is to cover the bills until the budget is published. They've reached an agreement.

Thanks for posting that. Everything I read said that this was a permanant budget until 2012. Then I clicked on the CNN link and that made it sound like it was only a Continuing Resolution. Whew. I new it took some time to get the agreement signed into law so now I understand the one week deal.
