"No show" policy if only partial party arrives?

I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm probably just not using the right search terms, but does anyone know the policy if a fairly significant portion of your dining party cancels within 24 hours of the reservation? For example, I have a couple of reservations that I've made for 9 people, and there is a slight chance that 4 members of the party would not be able to join (but we won't know for sure until the day before)... we wouldn't be a no-show, per se, but would then only need a table for 5 - would we be charged $10/head for the other 4? I've had reservations where we've shown up minus one of the original booking (when someone wasn't feeling well, etc.), but never for 4 people, which is essentially an entire table, so wasn't sure how strict they were.

should not be charged if only some of party shows as canceling would cancel for everyone not just part of the group

That's what I'm counting on. When I go solo, I always make all my ADRs for 2, just in case I run into someone to join me for a meal. Since that hasn't happened, all my meals for 2 end up being solo. So far I haven't ever been charged a fee, and I'm counting on that continuing.

I've been assured by more than one CM that I will not be charged for an imaginary second party since some of the restaurants (looking at you 'Ohana in particular) are not set up to accept an ADR for 1.

I've never had anyone bat an eye when we showed up with less than our original reservation party. (We were down one person at a meal and no one said anything)

Just to note, one of the reasons the $10 cancellation fee was put into place because there were parties who would book multiple reservations for the same time but at different places because those parties didn't know where they were going to be or what they were going to be hungry for. If even one person shows up for a reservation, that table will be used at the time Disney thought it would be used.
