I've been watching, waiting, wondering where the heck they are?

My favourites, the Johnson' Blue Geranium, not a sign of them. I guess last years late frost did them in for good. I'll really miss that mass of gorgeous blue this Spring. :( They must be replaced!!

One of my "Luxuriant Bleeding Hearts is a no show, while it's twin is thriving.

One of the three "Blue Bird" Delphiniums I planted last year has flown the coop.

Only four of the five "Fanal" Astilbe have made an appearance, and last but not least, and I must whisper this because Vanessa will be so dissappointed in me...my grass was a bust!! Yes, my first attempt at growing grass, and Little Bunny is dead... :(

Any other Buds, missing some perennial favourites?

:)

ROFL...Kim...I lost grass too...just a few small ones! it's ok! bad winter here...real bad.
So far everything else is ok...anyone want some poppies? I have hundreds! and they hate to be moved!

We had such a mild winter that nothing was lost...but we've gained BUGS! I can't believe how many flying annoying bugs are out already. We rarely have a bug problem here except mosquitos in the warm summer. UGH! I need a bat house.

I'm going to replace Little Bunny, Vanessa. Hopefully I won't kill the new one! :o

Mary, my DH wants to get some bat houses, for mosquito control. We want to take some extra precautions due to the West Nile Virus, which is something I should probably do a thread on....hmmm.

:)

So far, everything is a show. I am just watching to see what is thriving and what looks "weak". Overall, the perennials are looking better than last year at this time. It really was not the greatest garden year last year... but this year is shaping up to be better. :)

Snowwark: West Nile has definitely been one of the reasons I've been looking into a bat house. I was talking to my sister about them and she said my BIL would make one for me! :bounce: I can't wait to get it. On of our neighbors has a pretty big decorative pond with no flowing water which backs up to our backyard. I can only imagine the amount mosquito larvae growing in it right now.

Bad winter, took it toll on lots of perennials this year and the flowering shrubs are burned.

The one thing I did notice that seems to be triving is chipmunks. Their building condo's in my flower gardens.

Condos in the flower garden?? Double their rent!

Winter was real rough on the Rhododendrums and the pachysandra underneath them. I think they might be diseased for something. I went to library and got tons of books out recently to read up on stuff.

I see no sign of the Senora Black-eyed Susans I bought last year but that's okay, cuz, I really didn't like them anyway. The regular B-E susies are coming up fine.

I have moved some things around but I'll save that info for another thread.

My tulips were pitiful this year....just pitiful....
