Try not to get too discouraged. We added on VWL in October, and were able to get a 1 bedroom there for the end of November. It was all of 6 weeks before we arrived that we booked it.

We added a one bedroom to our existing reservation at VWL two weeks before checkin and the date was 12/30. I was shocked it was available.

I never thought of making day by day reservations, but then again I never thought I would have too much trouble getting what I wanted at the 11-month window.

This is really a stupid question, but I have to ask. How do you handle the day by day reservations? You call for the first day and say you want a one-night stay and then call back the next day and say that you want to add on another night ... and so on? Seems like they would catch on to that rather quickly.

Making reservations day by day at the 11 month window is perfectly legal and MS is very supportive. If you tell them that is what you are doing, they will "hold" the confirmation until you have completed the reservation. That way you only get one confirmation and one confirmation number. (It's also a cost saving item for us. Costs money to mail out multiple confirmations. Let's do what we can to keep those dues low). When I call day by day, I just tell MS that I am adding another day to my reservation. Not one of them has ever suggested that I am doing something "shady" or that it is inconvenient for them.

So if you think you need to call day by day to be assured of the time you want, just go for it! Nothing wrong with it at all.

We joined DVC last May. We had ressies for OKW 2 studios because my step daughter was coming and wanted her own room. She canceled on us about 10 days out. I called MS and got Tue through Fri at VWL 1 Br and did a sttudio and a 1 br at OKW at each end. That was for the first week after Thanksgiving. We got ressies for a studio at VWL for Dec 1 - 8 and I called the the second week of Jan. I hope the wait list comes through for you. If you go to OKW we loved it and will do it again sometime. I am hoping to get BWV at 7 months. I know all the studios there are already gone both standard and preferred. I am hoping the BCV will open it up so we can try BWV. Good luck.

We called Jan 14 first thing in morning and booked 2bdr and a studio at VWL for Nov 28-Dec 12 with no problem. The 11 month window that critical for that time of the year?? Any other busy DVC periods during the year??
