No resort availability at Poly in November

So, I've been researching resorts and looking at room availability at the Poly, both for standard and deluxe studios. However, I looked today and there is absolutely NO availability around our dates in November for either room option.

What is the likelihood that a Deluxe Studio would become available for us to book anytime soon? We would love to stay a week in November for the cheaper pricing compared to December.

Have you tried dvc rental? Just looked at dvc rental store and they show availability majority of the month. Also check out the dvc point rental page, may find a better deal

Poly is very popular and Nov. is also very busy. Rooms has probably been full for awhile. Can’t hurt to keep trying as it is far enough out for someone to cancel, but you might want to have a back up plan.

Thanks for that reminder. We would prefer to do a cash booking because of easier cancellation.
Does that mean there will be people later who cancel their DVC rooms to open up for cash bookings?

Is there a reason you want a dvc studio and not a normal poly room? The studios tend to just have a microwave and a kitchen sink.

Yes. The layout of the room, including the 2 bathrooms as we will have 2 adults and 4 kids (one in pack n play).

Was not aware it was like gfv and had the 2 bathrooms. That is a nice selling point but prolly the reason they are selling out fast.

We are going Nov 8-13 and after staying at the Poly that same week for the last 8 years (minus 2020), there was no availability for standard rooms that week and we started planning back before Christmas. We are trying out the Yacht Club instead for this year.

Not sure of your exact dates but they have standard view Deluxe Studios(Cash DVC rooms) open the 19th - 26th right now.

Poly Studios do not actually have 2 full bathrooms. They have a full bath (sink, toilet and bathtub/shower) and a second room with only a shower and sink. It's still great, but there's only the one toilet.

As for nothing showing as available for cash bookings, that's because you are outside the 7 month window. Disney has a very limited number of rooms they can sell for cash between 11 and 7 months before your vacation. Those have apparently been sold already.
Once you hit the 7 month mark, you MAY (by no means a sure thing) see some more cash rooms become available. There are strict rules about when and why Disney can take a room out of the DVC inventory and sell it for cash. At 60 days out is where you're likely to see additional cash rooms show up. But that's predicated on there being some rooms that have not already been booked by DVC members. With Poly, that's a going to be a rare thing. It's very popular with DVC members and sells out consistently (and quickly).

If you really want a Poly studio, your best option is to rent DVC points before you hit that 7 month point.
