We are going in a few weeks and will be in Disney on 11/9/15. We do not have any reservations. What are the chanced of just walking into a restaurant and getting a table. I know I may wait but will they take me? Seems like everything is booked.

We've walked in to Cape May twice, once in March, a busy time and in Oct., also Teppan Edo once as a couple.

Which park? What time? Keep checking for an ADR right up to to the day of your visit. If ADRs are completely booked you are unlikely to be seated as a walk up. Your chances may be slightly better if you try very early or very late.

Your best bet would be to eat at non peak eating times. Say a 2:00 lunch and then a later dinner. Also the more popular the restaurant, the smaller your chances are. I have been able to walk up to the Sci-Fi Dine-In with no reservations and only had to wait a few minutes as well as a couple around the World Showcase with a minimal 15 minute wait or so. You could also try calling to see if there have been any last minute cancellations as your trip gets closer.

We were able to get in for dinner last minute at the restaurant in Morocco (Marakesh? I think it's called) last December.

What park and which restaurant?

That is the first day the free dinning promo starts up again so getting seated with no reservation is going to be a very slim chance.

It depends on how big you party is, what time, restaurant, etc. It is always better to have an ADR. Keep checking, people cancel all the time.

We walked into Sci-Fi once, in the middle of July. Got one of those "flying saucer" tables. That was probably the only time we didn't have a reservation during any of our trips.

Definitely use the MDE app about a half hour before you are ready to eat because oftentimes the hostess will tell you they are full and not taking walk ups , but you can get an ADR for just a few minutes later.
Yes, this. We walked past Tusker House and decided to do a last-minute breakfast, so I pulled up the app and made a reservation for 10 minutes later. As we went over to check in, we saw walk-ups being turned away.

But if you're looking for reservations now and everything is booked, you might have a bit of trouble. (On the other hand, by the time you get to the parks, there might be more openings due to last-minute cancellations.)

If you check for any restaurant you really like you may get lucky with a reservation. I randomly checked BOG for a dinner reservation and landed one last night for 11/6 so last second ones can be done.

I know everyone keeps saying it depends on the restaurant and the time of day, but I wanted to let you know that chances are slim that you will walk up at most of the more popular restaurants. It very rarely happens at character meals of any kind or Be our Guest, Tony's, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, ect. You are typically only going to have a shot at walk ups at less popular restaurants. I would keep trying to get reservations because depending on walk ups will likely leave you without a sit down meal on at least some days and a long wait ( an hour or 2) on others. This is particularly true with free dining going on.

We will be in Magic Kingdon that day.....5 of us. We would like to go to Ohana but I know that place is popular. Any other place in MK where we can take a 1 year old for her 1st birthday?

What about Crystal Palace? It has pooh characters.

Looks like your options right now are Grand Floridan Cafe, Kona Cafe (not breakfast but lunch and dinner), the Wave, and Whispering Canon. Unfortunately every other restaurant is booked for the area. You might want to snag something just so you have a place and then keep looking. Just make sure if you don't want to eat there you cancel by the 24 hour mark so you don't get charge the no show fee.

At Magic Kingdom, you don't have that much of a chance. There are so few restaurants at MK that walkups can be difficult. MK currently has only 6 table service restaurants open for dinner, LTT is closed until November 20 so that narrows in down to 5.

Check the restaurants in the monorail resorts - and maybe at Wilderness Lodge - but you will have to leave the park to get to those.

As this is a special occasion, you should think about making a reservation if you can find someplace nearby that is to your liking. You likely do not want to haul your one year old from place to place trying to find somewhere to have her birthday dinner.
