No problems doing early ticket pickup!

Arrived this morning at pofq. Magic bands have worked great so far. Decided to make my way out to pick up our tickets early. Went to guest relations outside of mk but the line was very long so I decided to go to the TTC but was told you CAN do early ticket pickup but just not there. Got back on the monorail towards epcot. There was only a few people there and was done in about 15 min. with tickets in hand. I have been worried about this since I started planning this trip and I ended up not being a problem. I want to thank Cheshire figment and robo for all there help. Just in case anyone wanted to know, we did online check-in at both our room only and pkg resort. The only problems we've encountered was my mother's scooter looked like it fell off the back of a truck and we paid to have a sunshade, which there wasn't. Gave Apple scooter a call and they were down in a half hour with a new scooter with sunshade. Second issue was we had paid for a garden view room at pofq but we're looking at a parking lot. Called down to the front desk and they said I paid for a standard view but I made a copy of my paperwork and a supervisor apologized but had to downgrade to standard view because they were very full and we were only there for one night. I really don't find that to be a problem but I paid for garden view so they reinbursed me the difference. Even though it didn't start out so magical, the tickets made up for it.

Thank you so much for posting this!! We are going in Jan and arriving 3 days before our package starts. I have been so worried about doing the early pickup. I also saw in another thread someone else did the early pickup and didn't bring both sets of MB's but they needed too. So that's on my list to make sure I bring both.

Whew! I'm VERY worried about this. My dh has to be back at work the day after our checkout date, so the only chance we have to use all 7 park tickets is if we can pick them up a day early. I phoned and was told we can't - even though we're stayng in another resort before our vacation package begins.

Please tell me where I can find out how to ensure we can get tickets early? Also, we realise we can't use the dining plan early ( even if we're staying on site - grrr) but can we also not order fast passes for the day before our package date?

The Disney phone staff always tell you that you can't pick up your tickets early. But you can pick up your tickets early, in person, at WDW, up to 3 days before your package starts. However, I can't see a way to pre-order fastpasses for park days earlier than you package starts, bc Disney Reservations doesn't have a basis to know of your intentions. Once in the park with your early package ticket, go to a kiosk or MDE and give it a try.

I had two sets of magic bands for this trip so I brought both with me to guests relations along with my licence and my mother's licence too. (She did not come with me when I went to do this) once the cm was done, he handed me kttw cards as backup but loaded my tickets on my bands. When we went to mk that night, our bands worked fine. We only needed to get into the parks one day way because we had a ress for the dessert party.
