Going in June for DD's birthday. The only plans I've made are eating at Chef Mickeys on her birthday. Other than that, we're going to wing it. Oh, I know I'm not going to MGM on Saturday or Sunday b/c of Star Wars stuff, but other than that, we're freebirds.

I might try to plan where we'll go on each day but if I don't I'm not gonna stress about it. We know what we like, and we plan to hit the new attractions.

Am I nuts for even attempting this without much of a plan?

I am going in June also (June 13-19) Is that the Star Wars days? I didn't know. We have a few PS, and of course our hotel, and I just ordered tickets. But other than that, we'll just wing it. I figure if things get too nuts, we can always head back to the hotel and swim. I say plan for the things you REALLY want (meals, greetings...) and the rest, you should be fine. :wave2:

I think it's cool. We've thought about doing the World without a plan a number of times, but it always seems that a week or two before we go someone panics (ok, usually me) and by the time we get to our resort we have a full set of daily schedules and priority seatings. :confused3

Nah...don't worry about it. With the exception of one PS a day, I don't plan too much either. Once you've been there a few times, you know your way around the parks and you know what your group likes to do. I only make the PSs so I know I have a good table service/character meal each day, at someplace we all really enjoy. Other than that, no huge plan for us either and we'll be there on June 18.

One of the few things you should do though is plan which parks on which days. At least you'll know where you're going when you wake up in the morning. Maybe a couple of PS's???

Can't help it , I'm addicted to planning.

DH and I did that in December. Well, we decided that there's definitely a "way" to do this, but we have to work on it!!! We found we wasted allot of time "en route" to places. I don't know why either. But we DID have a good time.

Personally, I think someone should come up with just as good of a plan for "not planning" as "planning". But then would we all have to plan to "not plan". HMMMMMM!!! My only advice would be to kind of plan a little bit, to avoid "wandering".

But if you been there enough, and done that allot, and you want to relax, then I don't think you care what you get in or not. We had an AWESOME time, even with our fumbling!!!! But we certainly didn't do nearly as much in the parks as we do when we have a plan.

Yea, we only have 2 PS for our entire trip....You all have me thinking I probably need more, and you are probably correct.....hmmm....where to go!! :cool1:

We did this last June and definitely regretted it. This year, we have a much better plan - at least we know we'll have meals without having to eat counter service because we don't want to wait two+ hours for a table!

I really think that the new MYW Dining will result in much more crowded conditions at the table service restaurants.

We used to go during the slower times and never made plans. This June will be our 3rd June visit and so far I do not even have 1 PS made, usually I don't have any at all before we go. This is our vacation, I would hate to have to try and stick to a schedule!!!! Personally I wouldn't worry about it, but if it makes you more comfortable then you better start planning. :teeth:
