Well, today was the day I got to make my ADRs.

Every trip that I go with my family, as a tradition we eat at 'Ohana on the first evening and then head over to MK for Wishes. :cloud9:

Well, I got all my ADRs except 'Ohana. :sad1: There was no availability for a party of three at ANY time on Wed, Sept 30. :sad2: I'm so dissapointed! I got up & started with 'Ohana at 6:00am & there was nothing available. :confused3

I can't believe how booked up it was. I mean I tried every time possible, as late as 9pm & nothing.

Should I try to call?? I just can't believe it. :confused3

You'll get it. Don't grieve and don't stress. Just keep checking the online ADRs and I'll almost guarantee that something will come open.

SURE, CALL!!!!

You never know, I wanted Ohana this trip but just did not work out in our park plans, BUT was able to land a breakfast on our return day!!!! :thumbsup2
Just keep checking..............

I just checked ohanas for that day and they had i for 8:50 so try again

Keep trying don't give up. With on line dinning I'd try every chance I can. Good Luck & Pixie Dust 4 u. :thumbsup2

I just tried & nothing. I did 8pm, 8:15, 8:30. 8:45 & 9pm nothing. :confused3

The person who saw an opening probably didn't enter the correct party size. How many in your party? We didn't try for Ohana, but I"ve been all over the boards leading up to doing our ADR's. I was shocked at how many people reported not being able to get times there this year.

Keep in mind with Disney allowing the 90 + 10, people have been booking your arrival date for 10 days now. Most people reporting success getting Ohana are doing it very late in their trip to maximize their chances.

Thanks for all the wellwishes. :grouphug:

I'm gonna keep trying. I knew it was gonna be difficult because it is our first night, but that's our tradition. Now that WDW dining has become so popular maybe we need to come up with a new first night tradition.

Maybe, after whatever dinner we can get, a ride on the monorail to Poly for a Dole Whip & then to MK for wishes. :)

We'll see.

We have a party of 3.

Another thing you can try is to call at the 45 day mark. Some people realize at that point that they have to cancel their vacations--:sad2: and dining opens up a bit...at least it seemed to for me. I only planned my July trip in May, so I missed the 90 + 10 by a long shot. Still, I was able to get HDDR, CM and CRT. When I was wondering about that, it turned out that I was calling at about 45 days!

Hi there. I agree with the pp, don`t get discouraged. I am arriving on Sept 27 and when I booked my ressies, i couldn`t get Coral reef. I tried again the next morning(about 7am) and I got a lunch ressie. I tried again this morning and there was availability for 8:50pm(too late for us so i didn`t take it) but I will keep trying until I get what I want. Ressies get cancelled every day, then they are up for grabs again.

Good luck!
Tara

I called to have dinner there on Sept 27 they say------ no way -- not one opening -- I understand not always getting what you want --- But------ I am staying at the Poly and called at 90 day mark ----- Gee Whizz----- What does it take to get to eat there ....?????

That's what I'm saying. Same exact thing for me... I have never had a hard "no" when trying to get an ADR at 'Ohana. I may have had to pick an off time, but I could always get it in. :sad2:

I'll keep trying though... I have 90 days.

We've gone every single trip as well. In fact it used to be pretty easy to get an ADR for 'Ohana (that was back when the only Dining Plan Disney offered was expensive). Last trip (7 nights during the second week of November) we didn't get to go. Nothing was available. My bf just told me 2 days ago that we're going to WDW in August (he's so good to me, even if he's not a WDW fan). The only thing I got was 9 p.m. on August 14th. He LOVES 'Ohana and said if that's the only time we can go, we'll take it.

In July 2008 'Ohana was the only ADR we had to wait 45 minutes past our ADR time for and they weren't taking walk ups. They weren't taking walk ups at all during the week we were there in November (and it's considered a 'slow' time).

Keep trying. Check the online system. People do cancel all the time.

I am really irritated too...we are a family of 6 and I called at the 90 day windo and couldn't get any of the restuarants on the days I wanted. Finally I said this is a list of where I want to eat try to find it on my 11 day trip.:sad2: I mean GEESH! I STILL didn't get Le Cellier or Ohana or Whispering Canyon... There wasn't ONE ressie for dinner for my whole freakin' trip. That is REALLY wild! Not one ressin in a 10 day trip WHOOO! I let them book me for Teppan Edo, Sanaa, and Kona instead and am going to try to call back closer to our trip time to see if there are cancellations. My hubby is pretty depressed about the Le Cellier.
