I was about to start a thread with Nemo info and saw this, so I will just add to it.
We were at DLR yesterday. The Nemo line was 2 hours long almost the entire day (fun fun in 90 degree direct sunshine - but, hey, it's opening week!).
As for the "middles"...
- The CMs at the Nemo ride do not know about them.
- They DO have a quest brochure that was being handed out. It has some fun little games in it, a maze, and several quest questions.
- You do NOT turn it in for any prize. The official line, "It is something fun for you to do while waiting in line."
Then, you find a lead who has information, knows about VMK is, and is willing to share the real story.

- The quest brochure was created for the Nemo Quest which was to launch with the opening of the ride.
- THEN, the decision for VMK Central at DLR was made.
- So now, they have all of these brochures for a quest for VMK Central that no longer exists. Therefore, "something fun to do in line while you wait."
- Middles? Coming, just not there yet. No official instructions yet on how to distribute.
Fine print on the back of the Quest Brochure (comments in ( ) are mine): "Separate
Disneyland Park admission required. Quest valid through 9/30/2008 (yes, 8, that is not a typo). Subject to restrictions and change without notice. (Guess so, huh?

) Quest cards and prizes may not be sold or transferred and have no cash value. (Or, may not exist as a formal quest.) For more information go to
www.vmk.com
Incidentally, the first several CMs I spoke with told me the prize was a set of codes that you get when you go play the Nemo game on-line.
So, it looks to me like plans changed mid-stream on a quest that was set to be, if not for the execution order on VMK Central.
And if you have any interest:
All aboard!
Around the water
(photographically, love that reflection, woot!)
And under the waterfall
You gotta love the birds!
So cute!
But it's opening week, so it's not without a two hour wait in REALLY hot direct sunlight. The following picture is awful due to the position of the sun, but in a sort of cool way it gives you a feel for what it was like out there. Look to the right side of the photo, that mass of people you see that goes the entire height of the photo? The line - wrapped all the way around the water and kept going and going... for a two hour wait.
and from the humorous observation department: look at all those strollers!
