No Need for Waitlist...YEH

I am doing the happy dance....



I just altered my February vacation plans. Instead of 6 nights at Boardwalk, we are coming down early (we'll be there for my birthday) and are going to do 5 nights boardwalk and then 3 nights at Vero Beach.

We are getting 2BR units at each and we are bringing my parents with us for the Vero Beach stay (they live near WDW).

2 DVC resorts we haven't tried....vacation with my parents and get away from the cold of NJ for 2 weeks...that's something to be happy about.

Calling this morning, I was nervous that I'd end up waitlisted for some of this....but NO....they had availability and now we just have to get the plane tickets (oh, and wait another 6.5 months).

I, too, was pleased with my MS call this morning. Reserved another week in a standard studio at the BWV for early Feb--no waitlist, which is what I was expecting! Can't wait! 3 nights BCV, 31 nights BWV.

I called MS this morning to book BCV for late Feb and got my 2 BR fine. I told her I might call back next week to look for a 2br SV at BWV, and she said just by looking there was none available. hmmmmm

jdpk, you just never know what's going to be available. I thought I'd definitely need to get an a waitlist. You may want to get on "the list." I wish you success!!

I called MS back...

I added on another night at BWV (2BR SV) so now it's 6 nights at BWV and 3 at VB.

Also....had the strangest thing happen...the the CM from MS asked me my name and then said "I know someone by that name, although he pronounces it differently" (I have a VERY uncommon name).

As it turns out, I have a long lost cousin who was a chef at the Flying Fish until a few years back and the CM used to work there with him...It is, indeed, a SMALL WORLD!

I was able to call this morning and get my membership number!!

Also, I was able to book our Aug/Sep. trip for the dates I wanted, and booked a 10 day November trip just before Thanksgiving (Nov. 16-26, after which we will move into WL for Thanksgiving and MVMCP!) without a waitlist. We will be in a 1BR at OKW for 5 nights starting Labor Day weekend (with 3 nights at BWI to save some points!).

Didn't even try for our short F&W festival trip. It will be over a weekend and, not only would those points be expensive, but the chance of getting BWV or BCV would be slim, and we want to be right at Epcot. Instead, we were able to secure a nurse's discount at the Dolphin which will give us a chance to try a new resort!
