No More Wishes ??

I can't seem to find it for a FACT.. But Someone on another Thread in passing mentioned that "Wishes" is being Retired" and The Pirate Princess Parties will be back Anybody hear this and have a link ??
I was glad those parties were not there the past couple of years. Closing Disney World and if you want back in to stay past 6:00 you must pay additional.

Seems like especially in today's economy..A Rip. I paid for a Ticket thinking I can stay in MK till 10:00 or later in the Summer time and Find it closing early.While the Sun is Still out. Lots of Kids and Adults get cheated.

wishes is only going away for the summer in favor of the fireworks shown known as the pirates and princess party fireworks(can't think of the name)

search the boards for summer nightastic and you will find additional information

You are right and wrong (there's so much news coming out, it's easy to mix stuff up). Wishes will be going away for the summer but the "summer only" show is going to be all new; not the P&P show....even if it was, that was a great show! I'm looking forward to seeing the MSEP and the new fireworks.

Everything I've heard is that they are taking the P&P fireworks show and modifying it a little bit from an audio perspective, but the fireworks themselves will be very very similar

I disagree about it being a "Rip", it is up to the guests to look at the WDW calendar and see how late the park will be open. You can't assume just because it is summer time that the park will be open late. No one gets cheated, you could have chosen another park to go to.

Yes, I can confirm that it is just going away for the summer. Wishes will return with Specto in the fall, once Disneyland takes the Main Street Electrical Parade back.

TA calendar for Aug is showing Spectromagic each night at 9:00 but WDW site for Spectro specifically says not durring Summer Nightastic. TA calendar shows a date of 4/3/10. Did WDW change that quickly? Anyone have any other info?

Once upon a time, that was an assumption that guests could and did make.
