No more waiting on ROFR, we bought from Mickey @ OKW FINALLY!!!

Well, after being beat up and knocked down for over 2 years now, it was FINALLY the right time for us to buy DVC!!

We are the proud owners of 100 OKW points with a glorious 50 years

We initially signed a contract for SSR in 2005 then cancelled it (hence the beating up. Guides telling us how much we've spent since then that could have paid our membership dues). The we submitted 2 resale contracts, both of which were ROFR'd. We just could not get the amount of points via resale that we could afford with cash and where we wanted, and did not want to finance such a huge contract with DVC.

OUR PRAYERS were FINALLY answered!! After taking a 3rd...yes 3rd DVC tour this month, we were told about the new OKW offer. OKW is our resort of choice, and has always been. SO, we financed the amount (which we can pay off in full at any time), have a small and very manageable monthly payment until that time (longest is 2 years of payments) AND we own for 50 years at the home resort we have always loved!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!

And, I am VERY happy with our new guide, the time was right and everything fell into place. And MOST OF ALL...Now we will be one of the first in line to add on at our DREAM DVC @ The Contemporary

Yes, our initial purchase was 100 points. I am a cast member and the point contract minimum varies from other contracts. Another reason I am truly grateful I cancelled our contract in 2005 @ Saratoga. Don't get me wrong, I think Saratoga is beautiful and LOVE it being so close to DTD, but OKW is where our heart is. The old saying is true most of the time, everything happens for a reason

There certainly seems to be a reason for everything, eh? Glad that the original sale did not work out and that you didn't make the other 2 ROFR's. This way the stage was set for your purchase at your place of choice.
