No more trips to the Fort for a while

Looks like it'll be a while before I'll be back to the Fort, at least in the fifth wheel. I really hated to do it but just put the 5er up for sale. Took me a full day to clear everything out of it. I can't believe how much stuff we managed to collect in the trailer over the years. At least I have it all for the next RV whenever that comes. Heck I still have reservations at the Fort for Christmas 2010 and 2011. I probably won't cancel either until the last minute. Never really know what the future has in store.

Sorry to hear this.

If it was the camper or the house/truck/car, you made the wise choice. You can always pick up a used pop for next to nothing and fix it up. I know it's not a 5'er, but it's still good enough for the Fort!

We all do what we have to do. Not fun, not fair, just the way life is sometimes.

I know how you feel Mike. We sold our motorhome last month, and I unloaded everything into my attic. Bagged or boxed stuff up, and put it away for the next RV. Hopefully that comes next year, but who knows? And I cancelled our Oct and Thanksgiving reservations at the same time. Not having the next Fort trip planned is something we hadn't lived with for several years. It stinks. But, I still am on the DIS occassionally....ok, often. Ok, all the time. But anyways, the point is I feel your pain. But you obviously have a good reason to sell your fiver, just as I did with mine.

I wish you good luck in selling. A nice, clean, reasonably priced used RV will still sell in this market. Keep us posted with it.

Im so sorry. hang in there, you'll have another one when the time is right. We had to sell ours last year because of finances but things are turning around and we are hoping to buy a USED one soon. Heck, im happy in a tent as long as im camping.

So sorry. If its any consolation we sold ours (in SE TX) in 6 days. Hope the future brings you bigger and better.
