SWA just opened up their calendar for mid April onward. I went to try and book from 4/16 to 4/30 and there are no Wanna Get Away fares.

Did SWA do away with them or do they hold off hoping people will book at the higher fares first?

When the schedule first opened this morning at around 6:35 ET, there was a set of (very expensive) Wanna Get Away fares for my dates similar to yours, however, at the moment everything shows as "unavailable" for my route/dates.

According to some other advice I'm reading, I get the feeling the supply of WGA fares was/is limited right now.

Keep monitoring...the fares should show up again, and fingers crossed, at some lower prices.

I was able to book WGA fares this morning. I kept checking after booking and the prices were shooting up, and now say unavailable. My guess is that they ran out already. ALB to MCO for spring break in case you're curious.

We've been staking out since 5:45 and booked Wanna Get Away fares for April school vacation 4/18-4/22 for two from PVD. Paid $1060 for the fare and with all the taxes and early bird- came to $1246. Most expensive WGA fares we've ever paid. We booked immediately when they open. Hubby said within minutes from completing our purchase, the fares already went up by $200.

We bought tix from BDL from MCO mere seconds after the schedule opened. We got $380+ RT PP for 4/16-4/23. Within 40 minutes, the prices doubled. Now there are no WGA fares and prices are nearly triple! We chose the cheapest WGA fares for our days. We really wanted to fly out of PVD, but at opening, there were NO WGA fares at all from that airport. There are still none.

We've purchased tix Sat. to Sat. on April school vacation for the last 6 years and never saw it like that. It may be the last time we travel there over April school vacation!

The same thing happened to us. Same week same airports. We ended up adding a day to get a decent flight back (I know how said, another day at Disney!!). I had flights in my cart and couldn't finish because those flights were gone.

I booked WGA fares April 22-May 1 for $855 for 4 tickets. However, I had to change airports, as the airport I normally fly out of no longer has non-stop flights.

We fly out of BDL too! I just checked it today for April (we have the same week off too) and all the WGA fares said unavailable. grrr. Jet Blue is having a $92 fare sale from Hartford to Orlando but it's only on certain days like Tues and Wed.

I was waiting for flights to open this morning, seemed at least half hour later than the last several times I waited. I needed flights from Chicago Midway to airport in Anaheim for Disneyland, for May 2016. We book with points and most prices were pretty high, with only one decent one on the way there $139(about 8100 pts) and one for $139 and one for $102(~5100 pts), on the way back. All other prices were pretty high and there was only one non-stop offered each way. Seems unusual since I usually book for Orlando and at least several non-stops are offered each way. I booked our two tickets but will stalk SW in case anything lower pops up(or down, lol!). I wanted to at least get the lowest price one on the way back for the 5100 points but my DD25 had a fit because it wasn't non-stop. Argh! I don't like switching planes either but hate not paying the lowest possible fare like we usually do! Just hated clicking on the second lowest fare, lol.

I have been checking all day, generally keep a SW tab up on my computer at home and at work. So far, prices have stayed the same the whole day, and nothing has sold out on the days I was checking. Have had that happen before, though, so still like to always book right away. I was prepared to wait, though, if nothing was offered at a decent price. Glad there was at least one each way, and at good times for us, but hate not having any real choices.

I think that this is possibly a first in that ALL New England schools seem to have the same April vacation! I know NH, MA, and CT do, and it sounds like RI does as well.

We are heading to WDW for the Star Wars marathon on April vacation, so we actually wanted to leave on Wednesday 4/13 and come back on Wednesday 4/20 (well, wed/thurs/Friday/or Saturday were options). I am really happy with our prices out of MHT - we are at 1100$ for 4 tickets. I had a credit from our upcoming November trip that I applied and that helped me bring the cost down below 1000$ so I decided to add the EBCI since it would be such a busy time. Flying home Thursday would have cost an extra 80$ per person and flying home Friday/Sat/Sun had no more WGA fares remaining and 500$ per person was just NOT okay!

Congrats to those of you who also scored flights you wanted!

Massachusetts Boston area schools are on vacation the 3rd week and Southern New Hampshire schools are on vacation the 4th week.

CT is a mix. My kids are off the week of 4/11 and my wife is off 4/18.

This is what I am seeing. It looks like they are going to remove the WGA category.

I booked WGA fares for January. They were still available as of yesterday. Slightly higher, but nowhere near the "anytime" fares.

I'm seeing pretty good WGA fares for late spring. This is out of MKE and I checked for both MCO and PHX.

I just booked $96 for an April trip from Louisville, it's the lowest I've ever paid SW for the SDF-MCO route.

I booked WGA fares yesterday morning for the end of April/early May. I show the same flights still available at the same price today. Perhaps it helps that I fly out of a smaller airport?

The problem is that the WGA flights for vacation week got snatched up quickly. Had them in my cart and they were gone before I could submit. It's tough when you are a two teacher household and that is the week of your vacation. Wish I could go at other times, but alas there are kiddos to teach!
