No more Stanby line for A&E?

So someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I planned to meet A&E during an EEMH between 12 AM-2 AM, that's no longer a possibility? Without a FP, it seems like RD or bust for us all. :sad2:

I'm coming late to this thread. Can't catch up.
Is this like a limited quantity, old-style fast pass?

Is this like:
60 days out X# FP+
30 days out Y# FP+
Day of - last slots

And if you don't get one in the old-style running of the rope-drop-bulls you are out of luck for the whole day?

The PP's post does not imply that A&E stopped meeting at 4:00p. They go pretty much until park close now.

So there are paper FP tickets (or whatever they're calling them) being handed out for later return times? Or after a certain time the standby line just becomes a regular standby line again? Sorry...I'm confused lol.

Yep, you got it.

I think you might get a chance to run to the standby line first thing where they will let it fill to the 30-min mark and then cut it off and switch to the tickets. But I'm not 100 percent on that.

You get the ticket which tells you when to come back so you can stand in the standby line (not the FP line) where they will then try to keep your wait in line to 30 min. It never becomes a regular standby line because you can never just go stand in it after they start giving out the tickets.

The thing to remember is that a FP+ reservation will have you return to the faster FP+ line, while these in-park return tickets are just a ticket to get into the standby line (which should only have a moderate wait).

It's not that they're allowing for X number of FP+ reservations in advance and then they give out the return tickets for the FP+ line the day-of. The FP+ line remains only for those who have a FP+ reservation.

Do all members of your party have to be there to get the paper tickets or can one person get in line and get them for the group?

This is what I thought. So surely they must be handing out tickets with a later return time. Thank you!

If they still have this in August, I think I'm gonna grab three at RD and use it to pixie dust someone (I have a FP already)

Personally makes me think about another park where their vaunted attraction closes 3 hours before the rest of the park closes on a regular basis. I guess the guests that got to the park after 7pm were SOL as well even though they would have waited 3-4 hours.

I didn't think you were a big fan of deflection. I guess it depends on your narrative/agenda, huh? :lmao:

So then will the girls no longer be meeting guests during EEMH? :confused3

Correct. The PP did not say they weren't--only that that particular return time was being handed out at a certain time in the morning.

You better watch out! The "non-transferable" police are lurking in this thread. ;)

They only started this three-day test yesterday morning. And I'm guessing Disney picked this specific three days because there WASN'T evening EMH at MK during that span. There's morning EMH this morning, so I'm curious to see if that means the return tickets run out faster. But we won't know how this will work for evening EMH until (if) Disney implements this system as a permanent solution after the testing period ends.
