We went on Wonder in 2006 and I had the most wonderful Chocolate Souffle at Tritons. But, I looked at a recent menu online and it was not on the Tritons menu. IS IT NO LONGER AVAILABLE?? I hope not, that was one of the best things on the cruise. I tried to make it with the recipe on Disney website, but it wasn't as good.... then again, I wasn't on vacation either :sad1:

Are you sure it was Triton's you got it at? The chocolate souffle has always been and still is featured at Palo.

The only souffle I remember in the regular dining rooms is the grand marnier souffle. That is very good too. :)

they had a lava cake in Tritons

But if you ask for a chocolate souffle at the beginning of your meal, they can bring it down from Palo
Our whole table got one in July

In November when we were taking a galley tour of the Magic, they mentioned that the chef who made the souffle at Palo was leaving and taking his recipe with him.

They said this to me in August at afternoon tea re the scones, which turned out like rock cakes well 'hard rock cakes' They said Chef had took his recipe with him,

But I would have thought any reasonable chef could cook a Soufflé or Scone? or they could call a chef in WDW or DL at one of the many fine restaurants?????

since they have them on the Magic and the Wonder..I am pretty sure someone other than 1 chef has the recipe

This is crazy (the statement, not you!) I have a recipe for scones that I got from a lovely lady in England....they serve scones at Disney World...yes, I would think that any reasonable chef could come up with an appropriate recipe! Sounds to me like an excuse!

Since the recipe has appeared in a Disney cook book I'm fairly sure they have the recipe as well. :)

While the souffle is sometimes made available to guests in the main dining room it really is up to the server and head server if it happens. I would hate for anyone to think that they can get it just by asking because that isn't always the case.

I agree, but I was told that in Palo, seems to be a 'set answer'

Great point..

Next time they try that one on me, I will go down to Treasure ketch and by the chef one, sure that will go down very well:lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1: ;)

The souffle recipe was sent out in one of the "don't you want to re-book" advertising pieces that DCL sent out several years ago. I've never made it, but know I can find it if I look!

Cold you send a copy back to Palo by fax they need it, ( and scones):lmao:

I understand the replacement 'Big Mac' is now the Chef's specialty, not sure where he came from, ( now thats me out of Palo)

I have it in my travel file, along with the publication in Family Fun magazine a few years back.

I just bought a cook book at MK last week, and the recipe was in it. :thumbsup2

I had Palo's souffle last week and it was as delicious as always . . .:thumbsup2

When I worked for a major corporation, I had to sign an agreement that anything I developed while working for them was their property. Can't believe that a company as large as Disney doesn't have a similar clause....sounds to me like they're feeding us a line.

Agreed. Also...like anything else...if it becomes something that is requested by too many people they could stop the special treat all together.
