No more snow in Ice Station Cool?

I think the only one there I can say that doesn't make my lips cringe is the one from Germany. But even it doesn't make me want to fill my mug.

Now, see, I like Mezzo Mix. DSis and I had it when we were staying with a family in Germany...we were so excited that not only did they have Fanta, they had Fanta mixed with Coke (which is what Mezzo Mix is). Of course, I really love the paprika chips they sell in Europe too. I don't think American palets are ready for some of those flavors - especially Beverly. :P Also remember that before Coke finally started selling Fanta in the US, Ice Station Cool was the only place in America to have Fanta. I would go in every day I was at Epcot to get a cup, because I knew I wouldn't be having it again until I returned. Now I get my Mezzo Mix. :teeth:

:drinking1 Some people speak of filling their mugs at Ice Station Cool. I somehow don't see them allowing that. Has anyone actually tried?

I was there last August and althoug it was very cold in the walkway there was no snow. But I loved all those drinks.

My 2 faves are Smart Watermelon from China and Kinley Lemon from Israel :goodvibes princess:

I was hanging out tasteing the sodas and watching people taste Beverly and, for some reason I kept trying more Beverly and I started to like it. You have to have a few cupfulls and then you can really appreciate it. :)

Good points = free soda, downside = DH and DS throwing ice balls at me on the way in!!!! pirate:

Dont mind if there is no more snow on the way in as long as we still get the drinks!

When I visited in March, I asked a CM and they said they couldnt get any. This is quite disapionting as me and my friends being from Hawaii, never really see snow so this was a real treat. :guilty:

I don't think they'll put in Coke because some people will just take as much as they please.
I meant they should put a booth in there where people can Pay for the regular American Coke. I mean, they have all the Coke merchandise in there anyway, why not?

And I also meant that if the International Coca-Cola sodas tasted any good, people would be filling their mugs with the stuff for free, but since they're kind o'Funky, people don't.....At least I've never seen it ;)

I was just there yesterday with (believe it or not) a newbie. She was surprised when I told her how it used to be cold and icey in the entrance and she agreed it was probably better. While she and her husband were sampling the differant flavors I was 'people watching' and saw one person put a regular fountain drink cup in and fill it. And another filled a souvineer mug so I guess it probably happens a lot more then what people would think.

Something is up, was at Epcot for a few hours for the last day of the Flower & Garden Festival and noticed the entrance of Ice Station was boarded closed with the stock "We are building the future Epcot" sign.

from OKnight (a cm):

Starting May 31, Ice Station Cool, which is the location at Epcot that allows you to taste all the different flavored drinks from around the world will be closed for a 6 month refurbishment. The entrance to the attraction will be re-done to make it more like the entrance to Innoventions. All the cold/snow, etc will be removed and all the cast members will be receiving new costumes.

Thanks for the info. Will it still be the same inside, do you know? Free drinks and all? :drinking1

There really hasn't been much info released on it yet. They are going to re-theme the area. It will reopen as "Club Cool".

I just wish they had merchandise for the other sodas. I am not much of a sovenier guy, hell I probably mispelled it, but I would love a Beverly T-shirt as an inside joke.

I was there for the last day of the garden show too and saw the same " Building for the future epcot" sighn there too. HUH thanks for the info!

I was there that last weekend, too...went around back to the exit of Ice Station Cool and the door was open. Peeked in (how could I not?) and all the dispensers were removed, with a few empty retail racks strewn about. I'd say it's a major remodel.

I read this on Mousesavers:

Ice Station Cool at Epcot closed for refurbishment. No opening date announced.

At first I feared it was gone but a referb would be fine. Maybe they're working on anti-sticky floors. :)
