No more Sci-Fi?

I read on another board that someone called to make a adr for the Sci-Fi in Dec and was told that they would be closing the restaurant and replacing it with something else. Anyone else heard that?

Wow, I would be surprised with it's popularity. Not the top on my list, even though I ate there last month but there are plenty more I would overhaul before that.

We have an ADR for 12/12 at lunch. They are closing Sci-Fi early 12/10 for POP Warner, maybe that's what you heard?

I just called yesterday and made a Sci-Fi ADR for December 9th, so if anything is happening, it's after the 9th..........although I can't imagine a place as awesomely themed as the Sci-Fi (and it obviously fits in well with the park, Disney Studios), would actually be "replaced". Maybe refurbed, but not replaced.

they made be adding more actual tables since its hard to get parties of 4 or more into one "car"

We have a reservation there too for December,so nope was not told anything about it closing.

That would surprise me a lot if that was to happen. Totally closing a place and turning it into something else entirely would take quite some time to do.

Maybe you can ask on the other board for the backup to that claim.

The restaurant is nice. The only thing I wish they would make over are the speakers beside some of the tables(I don't think every table has one,but could be wrong). They are loud and you can't adjust them. It would be nice if each table had their own speaker and you could turn it down if you wanted to.
