no more pj :(

Tracy - I'm subbing to your PJ.

I'm loving your Wedding Dress!! Have no doubt why you're so in love with it =)

I'm always in Hollywood / So Cal - We always take our DD to trips from San Francisco to Disneyland. I saw those Hollywood Coasters / Favors the last time and it would def fit with the superstar theme.

Pink & Orange! Soo pretty! I can not wait to read more!

I LOVE your dress....You look perfect!

OMG DE JA VU!!!! MY FMIL DID THE SAME THING! In fact by the end of the night i was hysterical crying because she made Eric mad at me for not putting their names on it....AND I WAS 6 WEEKS PREGNANT!

I can barely get my FILs to pay for their own hotel room and clothes for the wedding and they want their NAMES on the INVITATIONS!!???? My parents have had to spend so much money on this wedding!

I say stick to your guns and leave the invites the way they are...ITS ETTIQUITE!

Why on earth do we do this for the "dream wedding". At this point, I'm ready to run to the courthouse and get it over with.

My FMIL did the same thing when it came to the invitations... my parents are paying for everything and My DF is even paying for their flights and accomidations in florida! I just told her it was etiquette and that was that. She's still bitter but if she does offer to pay for something, I'll change it.

I hear you on the courthouse thing too! Sometimes it just seems like the better alternative...

So sorry to hear about these troubles. Its such a shame that so many have trouble with the future in-laws. You should stick to your guns since it is proper ettiquette & you've done them the way you want (which is more important). But your DF has a good back-up plan.

I wish I could see what you have done but I am having terrible computer problems lately and can never see too many pictures here arghhh...

Good luck!

Awe Tracy....

Here's lots of  and pixiedust: to get through this.

Your invitations look magnificent! I love the bright colors and the design is amazing. I say, send them as is. Especially if they are not helping with the wedding at all. 20 years ago, we did the "son of" thing on ours, but FILs were footing the bill for the rehearsal dinner and the alcohol at the wedding. But then again, I'm not a big one to follow ettiquete (heck, I can't even spell it):rotfl:

Just trust in the fact that they look amazing and I would send them as is.

That is a good idea, the two sets of invites.....I ended up putting my DF's aparents names on them to avoid hurt feelings...But my Dad and my DF & I are footing our bill!

that sucks. Sorry to hear about the trouble but on the bright side your invited look great. love the colors. You can tell them that they are already printed so you change them or make some for his family. It's kind of childish if you ask me they are turning your event to make it about what they want. Annoying.

I totally understand the courthouse thing!
We had actually called our planner 1mth before our wedding and told her we wanted to cancel it because of all the crap that was going on.

We had the same issue with the invites, our first time around of planning.
For some reason my MIL had to have her name on there, not my FIL just hers(my Dh's parents are divorced). It got so bad that we ended up taking all of our parents names off and just used ours.
I think the 2 sets is a good idea even though it is a pain.
I know it seems that we go through alot to get our perfect day but believe me it's all worth it. Just try to keep a good sense of humor through it all and know that you aren't going through this alone

I agree with everyone your invites are great...love the color

We had the same issues with both sets of parent (DH and I hosted)
they both wanted to be listed....we politely told them …No
Stick to etiquette…the ones helping out should have the honor of being listed

You're getting married on my birthday too! :)

Love, love, love everything so far! Your dress is beautiful! And I love the different bridesmaid's dresses too.

Subscribing to this PJ! Have to live vicariously through all of the brides here since my own VR isn't for another 4 years!
