No more online cancellations?

I had previously booked 2 nights (with a discount) at POR... Turns out our flight will only arrive on the 2nd night I had booked. I need to switch to a 1 night stay.

I thought we could cancel online (they had that option in April, I used it!)... Now it says we have to call to modify or cancel...

What happened?
 
I just cancelled online yesterday. No problem. I booked a water view room , ( all that was available) and a standard room opened up for a $35 a night savings. I had difficulty " modifying" it as it appeared I would get only get " credit " back to room reservation. So I cancelled and then rebooked. All online. Not sure why you would get that message.
 
When you get to a certain number of days before the vacation (45, I think?) you have to call in to make any modifications to your tickets and room info. Mom and I are experiencing this currently with our trip coming later this month. Best of luck! :)
 

It's 11 days before my arrival and i have a cancel reservation link on my MDE. I do have a room only reservation though.
 
I also have a package, and have the same message to call to cancel. There's no cancellation option -- and I'm note even at 180 days yet.
 
I just called to modify. Apparently, some reservations are not elligible to the online option (to modify or cancel)!
