No more Mickey Bars

My DS (7) was so looking forward to this on our cruise.
Actually, so was I...one of my favorite desserts in Disney.

This a shame!

We were on a back to back 2/19-2/26-they ran out of the Mickey bars at the beginning of the second cruise. The head of the dining department came to our table on the last night to apologize about the lack of Mickey bars since it had become a running joke with our server! They are not gone forever-so, no worries there... However, there is a shortage from their supplier which has happened before. The new ice cream sandwich is actually more expensive for DCL-so, they REALLY are trying to bring back the Mickey bar

I too hope by May all is going to be ALL GOOD! I go to WDW in two weeks so I'll make sure to get them each night then just so if by May they are still out I am not going to be so sad....lol

Very odd...We were on the 2/19-2/23 sailing of the Dream and my kids had Mickey Bars a couple of nights. I guess we got lucky.

I also was on this cruise and my table mates had them every night.....

Not fair! My 20 month old has a gluten intolerance - she can't have the cookie part or she'll be up all night screaming in pain! I was looking forward to the mickey bar option so she would be content while everyone else was enjoying cake and/or cookies. Bummer I hope they change their mind!

I was the one to bring the bad news - we were on the Feb 23 - 26th cruise. So all of you that were on the one before - THANKS ALOT FOR EATING ALL THE MICKEY BARS!!

If this is true, I would be curious to know why they would do this. It is a terrible move to eliminate something so symbolic of Disney from their high cost cruise that is heavily marketed to families with children.

Huge bummer for us as well, we don't particularly care for the ice cream sandwiches they offer

Maybe if enough people continue to ask for the mickey ice cream bars and/or express their dissatisfaction they will bring them back???

That's good to hear that the mickey bar situation (presumably) is temporary.

I know this sounds so silly how upset we can be over mickey bars .... but they really are that good! I hope that it truly is temporary and that they will be back very soon! We're sailing end of May and I would be extremely disappointed if I couldn't have a mickey bar. My 13 year old gave up chocolate for lent and it just occurred to him yesterday to ask if our cruise was before or after lent was over but he would be really upset if he couldn't have chocolate mickey bars on the cruise!!!

Who could we email about this, seriously?

I think the Ice Cream Sandwich sounds great. I'm not a fan of the Mickey Bars just don't like that hard chocolate coating.
