walt never envisioned a geosphere. ever. walt's intention for epcot was a "experiemental prototype CITY of tomorrow". he envisioned it as a very large hotel in the center, surrounded by stores/businesses and trickling out into a community. actual people living there and what not. but when he died, his team didn't know anything about building cities, all they knew was building theme parks.

It's just a piece of metal don't get all worked up about it. There is going to be an even bigger wand thing going on in Orlando anyways, lol. But seriously I'm kinda glad it's coming down it was intended to be taken down during '02. This marks the new age for Epcot and maybe they will finally get some more original rides instead of re-theming great original attractions with Pixar.

i think it is going to look kinda dumb since i go alot.. and i have always remembered it with the hand. =[ but hopefully the change spaceship earth. my family and i call it the nap ride. we think it is kinda boring but we like the more um . roller coaster type of rides
