No more Clayton as Cruise Director

I thought he was OK as a cruise director. I liked interacting with him one on one, but not so much as the "warm up" person for the shows in the WDT.
This was our feeling too - we purposely went to the shows ten minutes late to avoid his schtick. It was mostly self-serving to gather applause for himself it seemed. Last week on the Magic the cruise director kept it to 3 minutes before the shows with pertinent information - it was wonderful :)

We had him as an Assistant Cruise Director a couple of times. I wish him well in his new position.

He was our cruise director a few times and we absolutely loved his enthusiasm. He was very well suited for that role. I didn't realize the difference until our last cruise. The energy of the cruise director can really affect the way we view the experience.

I wish him well also.

Maybe it was time to settle down. The last time I saw him was in 2016 in Bergen. He was touring with a very tall, pretty, blond women, and it didn't look platonic. Whatever his reasoning... making life better for the elderly is a very noble cause. I wish him nothing but the best.

That was a really touching article. Thanks for sharing!

Agree! What a great article! Thanks for posting, xiphoid! :thanks:

I liked Clayton. Loved his enthusiasm and we found him very friendly one on one as well. He was on the 2015 Hawaii cruise and we saw him numerous times one on one. I wish him the best! :sunny:

(as an aside, we just got off the Fantasy yesterday...FABULOUS cruise! But the CD was Peter and the Asst. CD, Chris. They both seemed a bit "off" for DCL CD's IMHO... nice enough I suppose, but seemed to lack that Disney something something...)
