I just read on All Ears Net that the show will have its final run on September 16th. They will be presenting a new show for the new promotion beginning Oct. 1, 2006.

I don't know about you, but I'll be glad to see it go. I've seen it about 5 times and just can't get into it. They need to have something with more upbeat music and dancing. JMHO.

Hmm, we'll be there on the last day. My daughter will want to see it one last time. I just couldn't get into it before though... hopefully the new show will be better.

ITA. We have never liked it. Looking forward to a show with more "magic" and energy! :wizard:

This is the one show I watched from a Distance and thought was just plain boring.

I am glad to see it head off to Neverland

The castle shows started to go downhill, IMHO, when they fired the Kids of the Kingdom band and went with prerecorded music instead.

Yup, this is one of the changes that I'm most looking forward to.

Yup! Me, three!

Me 4! It's good to hear I'm not the only one who didn't get into it. I was surprised my DD4 didn't care for it much either. :confused3

We haven't given the Castle shows more than a 30 second pause and a ho-hum since the Kids of the Kingdom were dispatched to Neverland. :rolleyes1
(KOK were the singers and dancers, and not the band, BTW. But, Pianoman, you have an excellent point about the canned music) :rockband:

IMHO, they need to bring back the live music :thumbsup2 , and bring back the KOK :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 . Then they need to come up with a show like America the Musical, Disney Mania or Everyday's a Holiday. All singinig, all dancing, all Disney, and forget the Cinderella tell-a-story stuff.

Remember the days when the MK had two stage shows going? Castle show and the Tomorrowland/Galaxy Theater. When was the last time the Galaxy had a regular show, other than Mickey's Night Before during MVMCP?

I'm disappointed that I haven't had the opportunity to see it. They're shutting it down 8 days before we arrive. :guilty:

YES YES YES!!! I couldn't agree more! Bring back the singing and dancing! Bring back the Galaxy Theater! Bring back the KOK!!!

(Just had to add: Yes, I know the Galaxy Theater is still there, and yes, I know it is still in use. LOL)

Wow! I thought I'd be in the minority NOT liking the show. I, too, wish they'd bring back KOK. Also, I think it is a shame that they have these new shows with pre-recorded music. BATB is mostly live, but there is nothing better than a good old live stage show! I used to be a singer and dancer on the Spirit of Philadelphia. Worked 2-3 cruises a day and would do 2-4 shows a day, based on what they needed. We did ALL of our singing live. It was grueling, but there is such a raw energy you feel when you're up in front of a live audience.

Now I teach music and I get to direct musicals every year and I emphasize the importance of correct stage singing, projecting and enunciation. And the kids I work with have a blast and feel so proud of themselves!

I sure hope Disney does bring back the live performers and a fun, energetic, zip-a-dee-doo-da type of show!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed!

DH and I watched about 1/2 of it and didn't care for it....I am looking forward to the new show...we will be there Sept 23-29 and I would love to get a sneak peek while we are there!

Yes, I'm aware that the KOK were the singers/dancers. However, the band was often billed as the "Kids of the Kingdom Band". :thumbsup2
