No more chocolate slippers desserts at CRT

Well I finally got a call back from the cake hotline and they said that they are still doing them and I ordered four.

I mentioned to them what I was told and her response was "they have been giving out a lot of bad information lately"

So everyone rest assured that they are still doing them :cool1:

How much are they and what is the number to call? We are going to both CRT and 1900, and I'm thinking of getting one for one of the places.

Ours isn't going to be for any special occasion so what writing should I get on it?

Any suggestions.

I called about a month ago because we got engaged at CRT last year and we were so excited and full we couldn;t eat the desert. It looked great. I asked if we could get it this time and she said sure but it would be an extra $25. We are going for our honeymoon so I said sure. We have them ready for us when we go.

I forgot the number but you can call Disney Dining and ask for the number for CRT special events and they will give you the number for the person who handles everything. It is one woman and she does an amazing job. Just ask my wife. They do charge you but it is well worth is!

Anyone have the number to order these?

Cake Hotline: 407-827-2253

For CRT: 407-827-2253
For 1900: 407-824-2978
Not sure what the current prices are, so you'll have to call and ask. Sorry!

I was going to have them put, "Congratulations on your graduation, Dorothy" on mine. LOL! I opted not to put any writing on it (at Victoria and Albert's), and they drew Cinderella's castle in chocolate sauce. It was quite pretty! So you don't have to put anything on it if you don't want to.

You are welcome. Ours isn't a special occasion either. So I just asked them to put Princess Allison on ours. They said it was $15. Can't think of any more questions that were asked.

15 sounds more reasonable than 25. I will do it for 15, not for 25. How long ago was that?

When I asked about this on my last call to disney dining, the CM said "slipper what slipper", I explained, and she said " Oh, they don't do that anymore..."

I am so glad to hear they still do!!!!! princess: :cool1:

Thank goodness! I went to great effort to find all the information up and send it to my friend, for her to suggest to my husband it might make a nice surprise him to order for me in May!!!!!!!!!!! That would have been a waste of effort!!!!!

figured it out...so here it goes

Oh what a cute picture! She looks soooo happy! That's just wonderful. I think I'll be ordering one for my daughter. Thanks for posting that. :goodvibes

I'm gonna call too.
Do you have to remind them when you check in or do they remember?

Should I call the cake hotline for this? Or 1900 Park fare (which just asks me to leave a message when I tried)

Can these be ordered for any resturant??? We will attend several character dinners but not GF. Thanks-----:)

Ok, I called the cake hotline. I got directed to the spot to order for 1900 Park Fare. I ordered a whie chocolate one (I hope, as the lady had a thick accent). It is $15. When we check in we are supposed to mention that a we have a cake on order and we pay for it then.

When I called the cake hotline it gave options, but I didn't pay attention, I just clicked for GF.

The dessert shown in the picture by Nikisha421 is from CRT. The slipper dessert from Grand Floridian looks a little different but they are both pretty. There is a cake thread in a sticky at the top of this restaurant thread that shows many of the cakes you can order. It is called "special links on the RB including cake thread and food pics!!"

Sounds like the bakery people at Disney World are all giving different prices on the same dessert.

I don't know if it is necessary but I am going to mention I want the name and design on our dessert plates.
