No more 180 +10?

I always thought as long as you have at least a single day reservation at a Disney resort, you can book restaurants up to 190 days ahead of time.

My 180 days is today. I have two separate hotel reservations, Nov 7-9 room only, then Nov 9-15 package with Free Dining. Obviously, most of my ADRs are for the Nov 9-15 stretch.
I called up, and they will only let me reserve 180+2...Nov 7-9. They said you can book past the 180 days only for the length of stay.

Is this a policy change?
Or has it always been this way and I am mistaken?
Or maybe I got a CM with wrong info and I should call back?

I have not tried as my day is not here yet, but when I made my RO for the first night, I asked and was told what you were. There are several reports of the same information as well. You could try again and see if you get a more willing CM but it seems widespread. Having a split stay stinks when it comes to that. I wish they would acknowledge the entire trip.

I called twice one day and got the same answer: No!

I called the next morning, and the CM did all my reservations for both resorts, no problem! I got the impression some CMs know how to do this procedure technically, and others have no idea how to do it, so they tell you it can't be done.

OP - If at first you don't succeed, call, call again.

I'd try back. I had no issues doing it online at 6am and then calling to schedule one or two things at 7am for later in the trip.

Good to hear of some success!

Do you have to call to book 180+10 or can you do it online too?
You can do ADRs online. But if it's a split stay you're doing ADRs for, online probably won't let you do ADRs for more than the first resort, then you'd have to wait until 180 days from your second resort stay to do those ADRs, etc.

Calling on the phone in the split stay situation would be the way to go, but you may have to call a few times to get to a CM who is knowledgeable about how to proceed, as I posted above.
