No meal plan available for DVC???

Is this right? I tried to book a 4 day meal plan for March visit and was told it was not available to DVC resort guest. I felt like a second rate citizen!

As in other things in life, timing is everything here. The "meal plan" (Disney Dining Plan = Magic Your Way Dining) will be available for DVC point stays starting April 1. You stay is simply prior to the starting date for this newly introduced option. We've booked the dining plan for our late May/early June visit, but were not able to book it for our mid-March trip.

Is this the meal add-on you can get when you book a room package with tickets? What if you have AP's or can get the tickets cheaper through SOG? Just curious...

DVC members can add the Dining Plan to their DVC stay booked with points without a ticket purchase.

But otherwise, it's the same plan as the Dining Plan add on to room and ticket packages booked through CRO/WDWTC.
