I know it is too early to panic but I'm starting to anyway! Our friend who are traveling with us have gotten their tags but we haven't. We're fling down on 12/30. I talked to a CM last week that said our stuff was processed on 11/18. So-we're confirmed but have no tags. She said no problem just tell the desk at the airport an d they will find our bags.:confused3 Not too reassuring-how many black suitcases are out there. Do I trust the service if I have no tags?
 
If you are leaving 12/30, they can come anywhere up to like 2 weeks before you leave. If you just made the reservation for DME on 11/18, I would expect to get them either this week or next.

I think for our trip to WL last week, our tags came about 11/10-ish and we checked in on 11/27. On past trips, we have had them arrive really early. I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to it. And as far as finding your specific black bags, they will take your claim checks at the ME desk to get your luggage if you have no tags.

I made the reservation back in October. Apparently the order was processed on 11/18-as was our friends and they got theirs 11/21-we didn't get ours so I'm thinking they are not coming!
 
Unfortunately, I can't make you feel better.

We got our ME stuff on Friday. Our resort package arrived today. It had a processing date of 11/27. We arrive on-site on 1/8. I'm sorry to say I think you probably are in trouble if you booked direct from Disney.
 

Are you and your friends on two different reservations, or are you on the same one? If you're on the same reservation, who's name is the reservation in? If you are all on the same reservation, only one packet is sent out, with tags for everyone on that particular reservation.
But...if you have two different reservations, you should have gotten your packet by now. I would call DME directly (866-599-0951) and let them know of your situation. They should be able to get out a replacement packet.
 
Your Disney’s Magical Express reservation has been made; however, you may not receive your Disney’s Magical
Express booklet with luggage tags prior to departure for Orlando. Please be assured that you will still be able to
utilize the service and receive the same seamless experience.
Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you have two options:
1) You can pick up your luggage at baggage claim and proceed directly to the Disney
Welcome Center. You will be responsible for taking your luggage with you on the
motor coach.
2) Or you may proceed directly to the Disney Welcome Center. You do not need to claim
your luggage. Disney will gather all of your information and collect your luggage for
you and then deliver it to your resort room.
IMPORTANT: Please pack any valuables, medications or anything needed immediately upon arrival into Orlando in
a carry-on bag.
Arrival at Orlando International Airport. Upon arrival, please take the tram from your gate to the main Terminal
and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center which is located on the B Side on Level 1 and bypass baggage claim.
If you arrive on the A Side, please proceed to the B Side before taking the elevator or escalator down to Level 1.
You may follow the airport signs to Ground Transportation.
At the Disney Welcome Center, please present your airline baggage claim checks to the Disney representative
to confirm the number of bags* checked as well as your return flight information. You will then board a
complimentary motor coach that will take you to your resort. Your motor coach may make up to 3 stops before
arriving at your resort.
Luggage delivery to the resort. Your luggage will be claimed at the airport and delivered to your room. Your
luggage may take up to 3 hours after you check-in to be delivered. You do not need to be in your room to receive
your luggage. Please note if you take your luggage on the motor coach it will not automatically be delivered to
your room.
Returning home. You will receive a Transportation Notice the day prior to check-out advising you of your motor
coach pick-up time and other general information. Your motor coach pick-up time is based on your
flight departure and will be approximately 3 hours prior to that time to allow for multiple stops by
the motor coaches.
 
Thanks for the phone number. I made the reservation through DVC member serevices-one for each family. Dvc confirmed the reservation. I guess I am just uncomfortable having someone claim my bags without the ME tags. I know they will have my claim tickets. If our friends don't use all of their tags(they were given 2 per person) can I use them?-or are they numbered to match with a certain name?

Yep, you can use some of your friends tags if they have extra. Your bags will be delivered to their villa, but it is no problem to use their tags.

In 2006, we added an extra person after our tags arrived with no time to get additional ones. We had extra tags and put one of our tags on her stuff.
