I do not have a cruise or trip planned that will be interrupted by this storm and I have the deepest sympathy for those who do....I can not imagine the disappointment after all the planning and excitement.

After seeing clips on TV of the people in Haiti who are still in tents after the earthquake and now preparing for this massive storm with minimal resources , I can't help but think how grateful we all should be to even have the opportunity to schedule a cruise and have a place of shelter, now and in the future.

My heart aches for those of you in this dilemma but also for the thousands of folks who are impacted in ways that we can not even imagine. As I put my head on a dry comfy pillow tonight, my prayers will be for all of you.

Not only Haiti, but all the islands that are being affected - Cuba, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and so forth. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

And yes, also with those in the US and the potential path of the storm here, but the bottom line is we are FAR more prepared to deal with a storm like this than pretty much any of the islands in the Caribbean and Bahamas.

Well said Kittymamma- I feel so bad for those who have been planning their trips. And pray for those directly affected. Grateful for a safe place to sleep tonight that is warm and dry. Thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this storm.
