I should have seen the warning signs...................after repeatedly trying to reach HRH concierge for info-no one responded. No character meals during the week. No dive-in movies during the week............................Just back, and have to say it sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonderful smile or pleasant helpful service at check-in. No property map or info about parks. I booked with E card, and called a week prior to check on hotel occupancy rate to see if club level upgrade would be availabe and how $ mush it would cost. I was quoted 50.00, she said I could wait till check-in to do it. At check-in they said no it would be much more, I asked to speak with the mamager. A compromised was reached for an additional 57.00 and an attitude. We waited for 6 hours for our room when they were at less than 60% occupancy. There was no turn-down service, housekeeping, morning paper, welcome gift or children's trinkets at nite on the bed. When I called and asked to speak with the manager, she said " the price that you pay determines the amenities that you recieve." So basically if you are using any type of discount and still PAYING over $200. a night you can expect to be treated like a second class citizen. BEWARE!
What a waste of time and money. There is NO MAGIC to be found at the HRH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Your room card getting you the 1st available priority seating at restaurants- try 1 hour and 40 minutes at Margaritaville.

Unfortunately a lot of people have similar stories abiut HRH although others have had a good experience but I agree when u are paying $$$ u expect better and deserve better:jester:

Wow! I am surprised Margaritaville was that busy during the week. There have been several complaints on these boards about the Hard Rock Hotel over the last 6 months. I don't know what its all about, but maybe Lowes needs to up their standards. The biggest complaint I hear is the people who get a discount are treated differently. Of course that shouldn't be the case. Why punish people for doing their travel homework!

We booked Club at the APH our last visit. We did not get our Loews First Welcome Gift, since we were in Club it didnt matter to us, but we did get the childrens trinkets. We didnt get the newspaper, but they had them in the Club Lounge. I think that out of our stays at the HRH the room has only been ready for us once, was your room ready after 4pm?

We left for the park around 9 am each am, and the room was always cleaned by the time we got back, usually by 5pm.

Bummer you didnt get the same service as us. All the Club staff was friendly (except one), they printed out our boarding passes for our return flight which was great.

Hi,
I stayed as the HRH 3 times. I was never impressed w/ any of the staff but I kept going back b/c I of the front of the line access and PB was booked and the RPH was not built yet. I booked the club level the first time and when we arrived they told us they did not have any rooms available! The hotel just opened and they "were working out the glithches". We ended up on the 6th floor but we were given 2 room keys, 1 for the room and 1 for the elevator. We did not get into our room until 7:00PM although they were kind enough to let us hang out in the lounge. (can you sense my sarcasim?) I would think that they would of offered some kind of compensation but they told us we were lucky to get the room.

We stayed on the club level for the drinks and I could not have asked for a better selection and the food was great.
The CD selection was fantastic and you could help yourself to the CDs. The 2nd time we styed there it was in a regular room b/c I was w/ an airline employee and we got 50% off. No complaints here.

The 3rd time I stayed in the club level I was extremely disappointed. When I called to book the room I asked if anything had changed since I was there last b/c it was cheaper. The first time I paid 315.00 and the 2nd time I paid 269.00 (not including each add'l person fee). They told me that everything was the same. Well that wasn't true. They reduced the bar to only beer and wine and the selection was terrible. They ran out of the one beer choices (out of 2) and they did not get more and the food was terrible. Every time we wanted a CD we had to ask one of the concierges and they were absolutely miserable about getting them for us. We were listening to a CD and they came over and turned it down. It was not even loud and they didn't ask us if we could turn it down, they just did it. There was no one else in the club room. The crazy part is this is the HARD ROCK. Aren't we supposed to listen to music and have a good time? I felt like everything I did, I was being watched. I was very uncomfortable. I asked the concierges why they changed the original set up and they said this is a family place. What does that have to do w/ anything?

A big reason my group chose to stay in the club level was b/c we drink and we figured we could save some money by taking advantage of the drinks but we could have paid 140.00 a night and used the extra money for drinks in City Walk.

I love US and IOA. I have not been to the RPH yet and I hope my experience w/ them will be better.
