I was told two weeks ago our magic bands had been shipped. Have not showed up yet. We leave this Sunday. What do I do? Buy more when I get there??
 
You can buy then if you want and then link them to MDE. They will probably give you free grey ones at your resort if you tell them you didn’t receive them.
 
Were they the free bands that you get with resort stay? If so, you will not receive them. They might of send you luggage tags and coupon book.

s previously announced, Walt Disney World has eliminated the complimentary solid-color MagicBands that were sent to guests pre-arrival. Here’s the new note that has appeared on the MagicBand customization page:
“Starting in 2021, we plan to unveil an innovative new offering as part of the My Disney Experience app that will bring features of a MagicBand to your smart devices…With the new My Disney Experience offering, MagicBands will no longer be provided on a complimentary basis with new reservations for Disney Resort hotel Guests with arrivals beginning January 1, 2021 and beyond.”

So you ordered them in MDE for a resort stay? You paid for them and confirmed the order? Did you receive an email with a tracking number, or is there a tracking number in your MDE?

If you paid for the order, and you do not receive them before you depart, ask at the front desk. They will likely give you replacements, although of course they will not be the personalized ones you ordered. You could then pursue a refund of what you paid.

Honestly, I'm surprised they shipped them 2 weeks before a trip. Normally they would tell you they will be waiting for you at checkin.

If she was notified that they were shipped, then that means she ordered and paid for them. Disney resort guests can choose discounted MagicBands for their stay if they choose to.
 
That happened to me too. They sat in the same location for 2 or 3 days before they moved again. They arrived while I was in the air. Luckily we had others, but still annoying because I had called CS (because they hadn't even filled the order yet) and the CM put a note asking to have them shipped to the resort instead.
 
Yes, I paid for them. When I look at the tracking, it shows they haven't moved since March 5th. Gotta love USPS!!

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Mine have been sitting in a Davenport location since the 5th too. We ordered 1 solid color and 2 designed ones. I'm fine with having to get new ones when we get there but wonder if they will still offer at the same prearrival check in price???

It's not a matter of honoring the price, it's having the bands. It's likely the resort would only have gray ones, or maybe a couple other solid colors. They don't ever have the designed ones. I'd think if you have proof of the order, they'd give you gray/solid ones for no charge.

For me..it is about the price (or at the very least a refund for the cost). I was able to purchase at a pre-arrival discount a stitch one for $10 a "disney dad" one for $20 and a solid purple for $5. I'm not going to be able to duplicate that pricing buying them onsite.

I'm still baffled why they even mailed them. In the past they have always been held at resort for us. I'm wondering if maybe this is really where they are since they have been "stuck" in FL for a while.......
 
Today is the last day to get them for me. Fingers crossed!!🤞

I didn't mean the price didn't matter. What I meant was that they would not have what you ordered, for purchase at any price. Many of the MagicBands that are sold at a discount to resort guests are not available any other way, on property or online. Other than the purple one, of course. I am sure they will come up with a solution, including likely a refund of what you paid. Do you still have some time for them to arrive?
 
Our last trip our purchased bands arrived to our home the day after we left home and were in WDW.
 
I don’t understand what is happening with shipping companies lately. I paid for 2-day shipping with FedEx, my package sat in Memphis for a week. We were told it was delayed due to weather but there was no bad weather in any part of the country that week. Right now I have 2 packages sitting in a facility 1 town over from mine and no movement for 3 days:confused3

We ordered our bands a week ago and there is a notice on MDE that shipments may be delayed due to increased volume. I ordered them 5 weeks ahead of our arrival day. I am hoping they ship in the next 2 weeks to allow time for the delivery!

Glad to see the resorts are providing some compensation!
 
Mine shipped out on the 5th as well. I opened up a case with the USPS yesterday, they started looking into the delay and have sent me an update that my package is now in Austell, GA. It doesn't seem to be the USPS that is causing the delay. The updates reference a shipping partner.

I have time before my trip so am hopeful that they will arrive soon. We should all plan on longer lead times when something needs to be mailed or shipped.
 
Mine arrived to Nashville the 8th and held at the USPS sorting facility for 4 days before getting delivered locally on the 13th.
