No Luck with Roxio- Any Other Low Cost or Free DVD Burner Programs?

I have Roxio CD Creator 5 installed on my computer but apparently it can’t recognize my new Pioneer DVD Burner when using the Data DVD feature. So I am looking for a quality free or low cost DVD Burner program that you can recommend.

Didn't you get software with the new burner? And I would guess the problem is your using the CD version instead of the DVD version.

No software, it was an OEM deal from Newegg. Shouldnt be an issue with using the CD Creator software since it has a feature within it that is setup to create DVDs.

I don't know if you've tried this, but you can try making sure you have patch for Roxio. Sometimes the patches add functionality of newer burners. You can go to http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/software_updates/default.html and see if there is an update for the version of Roxio you are using.

I do appear to be up to date with the latest version, but even that version is old. I guess it is time I upgrade to something new.

Got it to download finally.... off to trying to burn a dvd of my pics now!
