"Lee had the New York Strip which was a very good steak. The char crust really added to the flavour."

"For our three desserts, we ordered...



Trio of Concession Sweets: "Out on the BoardWalk"
- Popcorn Mousse and Caramel Corn
- Cherry-Limeade Popsicle
- S'Mores Whoopie Pie


"The trio was excellent. I enjoyed the whoopie pie while Lee enjoyed the cherry limeade Popsicle, which was very tangy. The caramel corn dessert had a cheesecake like complexion and great flavour."




"We just had to also order the caramel apple bread pudding, again this was fantastic!"



Warm Caramel Apple Bread Pudding with Heirloom Apple, Raisin Danish, and Cinnamon Pudding, Heirloom Apple-Gold Raisin Compote, Rum-Caramel Anglaise, Pecan Tuile, and Tahitian Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

"The menu has been updated for Autumn. No sign of the rumoured venison."





"Anna had the lamb two ways, consisting of lamb chops and lamb shoulder and Lee had the braised short ribs, which were fantastic!"







"The dessert menu has been updated too."







"We got the Kenyan Coffee Creme Brûlée which was smooth with a good coffee flavour. The koesters with vanilla sauce were also delightful."







"Our second dessert was new to the menu, the banana bread pudding which was outstanding. The only fault was that the portion of ice cream could be bigger."







"Once again Jiko remains a "must do" restaurant for our next visit."​

Pam said, "We had planned to have Earl of Sandwich for dinner but DH requested Trails End again. We were willing so we headed back to Fort Wilderness. Unfortunately it's been raining off and on most of the day. Hopefully we have a better day tomorrow when we have our first Park day."

Hi all - very excited to be one of the final reporters on this magnificent thread. Even though the ticker says we leave Tuesday, we actually changed our flight to tomorrow a while ago and I never bothered to update. I am traveling with my DH and our son. We have the QSP and gift cards for some offsite restaurants as well. The main exception is Thanksgiving where we have ADRs and Via Napoli which we love. We try to get to Punch every chance we get in the twin cities but that isn't frequent enough so we get our fix in DW as well.

Couple things....I can't use W D W all together or it turns into I WANT TO BE AT DISNEY WORLD which is this precious thing my DH set up on our iPhones/iPads and when I try to delete it he puts it back on so it'll have to be W D W.

We're taking off tomorrow just after the first quarter of the Packers game (extraordinarily bad planning on my part) and checking in around dinner time so I hope to send updates for breakfast in the Midwest and dinner in the Sunshine state.

I don't have a huge appetite and DS has an on and off appetite so there will be plenty of sharing. And plenty of not. Can't wait for the Christmas decorations and relaxing.

"Next he had a cheese omelet and it must have been good, he ate 2."






"It was very good as usual and they had grits which I love but there aren't many places in MI that know what they are let alone how to cook them. We will give it a 4 out of 5."​

Our First Update of the Day from yesterday was sent to us by Tinker Pam.


Pam said, "We had dinner last night at...





"It was our first time there and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful, we were seated in the West wing it was a bit of a walk for DH and would request a closer room next time."






The wine menu...





"Dinner started with bread service and those rolls were amazing."





"DH and I both had the Strip steak well done with pommes frites and green beans."





"The steak had excellent flavor and was cooked just right."




"For DS we ordered a kids meal and paid OOP for it. He got the grilled chicken breast with pasta and marinara sauce, we requested the marinara on the side."





"For dessert we ordered 3 of the cupcakes: the Strawberry, the lemon and the Chocolate."



"The strawberry was our favorite followed by the lemon and the chocolate."



"We also got some Grey stuff as we were celebrating."




"This has been the best meal of our trip and everyone gave it at 5 out of 5."​

"I had the roasted turkey sandwich, bottled water and a cookie to go."
