As we are about to leave WDW, we stop to take a picture from the train station back up Main Street. The Christmas tree will be added once they finish filming for the Christmas day parade this weekend.

WEDNESDAY - 01DEC2010

There was no rush this morning. We're moving to the Boardwalk Villa as previously stated. There was no message last night asking us if we wanted to do the express checkout. We are packed up and head down to the front desk to check out. I was told that they system was down and they could not give me a printout of our charges. They will either mail or e-mail our bill. I remembered receiving messages from DVC that there would be a system outage on 12/01/10 for upgrades but I didn't realize it would be at the resorts too. It's no big deal. We didn't charge anything to the room but you always want to be sure no one else did.

Well....the system outage is at ALL resorts so it is down at BWV too!
They could only give us one room key and they could not assign a credit card to our room key so we'll have to come back later. Oh well.

I'm not sure we will do a split stay again. It is nice to experience two different resorts but you lose nearly half a day in the process. If we were staying longer than 6 nights it might be okay but there's so much to do and so little time!

We had requested an upper floor room with a preferred view. We didn't get the upper floor and our view was of the courtyard between the resort and the actual boardwalk. Here are some pics of our room....

FYI, at AKV, there was a 4 plug outlet next to the internet port. At this room in BWV, there was not an electrical outlet next to the internet port. There were 2 outlets behind the TV and 2 more next to the bed. Just letting you know in case you might need to bring a power strip if you have a wireless router, cell phone charger, laptop, camera battery charger, etc.

We head out to Epcot today and stopped to take a couple more pics in the lobby....

The crowds are still pretty light at EPCOT....

We are going to take our time visiting each of the countries. First stop for us was France and I had to take a pic of this....

Next up is Morocco. I love looking at the different architecture at these countries and the items they chose to represent their homeland....

Time to eat so since we are in Morocco, we eat at the Tangerine Cafe. We split a Mediterranean slider combo. Real good pita and lentyl salad. Here is the cafe....

We browse around the shops in Morocco. A cold front moved through last night so instead of 80+ degree highs, the high today is in the 50's. I wondered where the belly dancer was that performs outside. I tried to talk DW into buying a veil, outfit and a CD with "belly-dancer" music but there was that "look" again! Geez....you women!

Next around the Showcase Lake is Japan. The Samurai....

Then there is this warrior in the art gallery behind the restaurant....

Last but not least is the koi pond....

Then it's on to the good ole American exhibit and their tree out front....

While we were there, the Fife & Drum Corps put on a show....

They recruited some new members....

Next door at the Liberty Inn they were selling cookies, cocoa, eggnog & cider....

Moving on around the lake we enter Italy and a mime-juggler is at work entertaining the visitors....

He gets a volunteer to hold a net and hits it dead center from about 50' away. The youngster takes a bow....

And one of the newest restaurants in EPCOT - Via Napoli. I've heard really good reviews about this place. I wish we had time to try it this trip. Maybe next one....

The unique German architecture is after Italy....

We sat for a while and I had an Altenmunster Oktorberfest beer. Very good. Then we visited the new Werther candy shoppe and the caramel smell was out of this world! It was all I could do not to sample everything especially the marshmallow on a stick dipped in chocolate or the caramel covered apple or covered popcorn.
