OH NOOOO!!!

DH doesn't want me to plan an itinerary!!!!

We go every year and he said this year, no plans, let's just wing it!

What!!??? I can't understand this train of thought!!!

I'm a planner. We have been 6 times in the last 6 years always with a plan. We are not commando type park goers, but I like to plan where we will go each day as well as where we will eat.

Should I secretly plan and then try to "wing it" while we are there??!!

Anyone here not following an itinerary?

His reasoning is we know the parks well, we have been many times and will be there many more years to come so let's just relax.

Should I give in?

FYI we will be there in Nov week before thanksgiving. I have yet to make any PS's because of this which is not like me at all,I'm getting nervous!!

For WDW vets but even then I think a basic plan for meals and parks and some new experiences you want to try need a small non-binding plan.::yes:: :wave2:

I'm going the first time with no itinerary also!

The only thing I have planned is MNSSHP!

I think it will be liberating! You can also make a plan the night beofre you can always make a PS the night before and see what happens.

On our last trip we decided not to plan and just wing it, had the best time ever! We will do the same in December. Only planning are a couple of PS. Nooooooooo pressure!!! ::MickeyMo

I think winging it is much more relaxing. Especially since you have been before and will be going many more times. If there is someplace that you really want to eat then I would go ahead and make a ps for that. But you will find that not having an agenda can be fun. I wouldn't suggest this for a first timer or someone going at a peak time but you are going at an opertune time to just "vacation" and not having any set plans you can take in the whole experience without any pressure..............if you want to sleep in a day....so what! if you want to stay at the resort all day......so what! Really that is what vacations are for is to relax and get out of the regimented time frame so many of us are in.

I also like to "wing it". I was actually stressing over having 2 "things" to do 2 nights in a row (MNSSHP and Wishes cruise!). With 5 kids (2-9), I feel that I spend my life trying to "herd" them to one place or another. Not having to get anywhere on time is my vacation! We normally talk about what we are going to do the night before. That way we know if we have to get up and out quickly or can go more leisurely. I know my family prefers the relaxed approach. We usually go the first week of November, so no preplanning is needed. If we were going in the summer or Christmas I would have more solid plans.

I second what chyam said. If there's someplace you must eat make a PS there but leave the rest of it open. Disney is great fun no matter how you tour and if you've gone with a plan for all of your previous trips you might find there are so many wonderful aspects to the parks that you truly do miss when you're on a schedule. You can always plan again next time, but it's nice to go without an agenda at least once. :)

Enjoy!

I only suggest making PS's for restuarants you don't want to miss, and 'winging' the rest.:D
