We have been looking for 3 months now to book a 3 day trip on the Dream in late August. But we have only ever seen balconies offered at over $1000 each.

We usually sail Royal but wanted to give Disney another try on the newer ships before the kids get too old.

I'm prepared to pay more for Disney, actually a lot more but this is a whole different league.

I always understood it to be off peak towards the end of August.

This is reflected in our hotel pricing at WDW and also on royal or celebrity.

We are happy in an inside and always take 2 cabins. $4500 on Disney. $1000 on Royal.

Are any insides likely to be released nearer time or might such thing as a GTY be introduced

The Dream is going into dry dock for most of October, so it seems that the August and September cruises are booking up a bit faster than they have in the past. People who would normally cruise in October are booking sooner.

But the prices really don't drop on DCL cruises until September. August is still a peak time with the higher prices to match. If there aren't any inside staterooms available now, they will only become available if someone cancels. You could check back around the PIF mark (75 days out). Also, it's very rare for the 3 night Dream cruises to have a GTY rate. The 4 night cruises are more likely to have a GTY rate offered.

The inside rooms on the new ships sometimes are priced higher than other rooms due to the limited number and the draw of the virtual portholes.
